Warner Bros Reveals Possible Flim Slate During Earnings Call

Earnings calls are a nice way for publicly traded companies to keep investors apprised of a company's current status and the future direction they might be taking. During today's Warner Bros earnings call the studio revealed a blueprint for their DC characters that will be tearing up the big screen in the coming years.

Keep in mind this is an earnings call and these dates are subject to change. Think of this as a rallying of investors rather than something set in stone.

    ~Batman Vs Superman & Suicide Squad: 2016

    ~Wonder Woman & Justice Leuage: 2017

    ~The Flash & Aquaman: 2018

    ~Shazam & Justice League 2: 2019

In addition to the penciled in but erasable dates above there are also Cyborg, Green Lantern, and stand alone Batman and Superman films in the works.

Also nestled within this call was the fact that Ezra Miller would be playing the Flash and triple confirmation that Jason Mamoa would be taking on a solo Aquaman.

Amanda Seyfried & Mark Wahlberg Film In My Neck Of The Woods

Seth MacFarlane's Ted was a surprise hit in 2012 pulling in almost 220 Million domestically against a 50 Million plus budget. With margins like that, of course there was going to be a sequel.

Local boy Wahlberg was spotted filming Ted 2 in and around Boston with the lovely Amanda Seyfried. You don't really lose much going from Mila Kunis to Amanda if you ask me. Ted himself was also in attendance, or at least a fluffy stuffed representation of the foul mouthed bear.

Head over to JUST JARED for the photos.

"Wetlands" Poster & Trailer - "The Most WTF, NSFW Movie..."

Eighteen year-old Helen Memel (Carla Juri) likes to skateboard, masturbate with vegetables and thinks that body hygiene is greatly overrated. Struggling with her parents’ divorce, she spends her time experimenting and breaking one social taboo after the other with her best friend, Corinna (Marlen Kruse). When a shaving accident lands her in the hospital, she sees it as a way to reconcile her parents, but ends up forming an unlikely bond with her male nurse, Robin (Christoph Letkowski) in the process. WETLANDS is an unapologetically vulgar coming-of-age tale about divorce, first love and anal fissures.

Chloe Grace Moretz Says Piracy Killed "Kick Ass-3"; That's Incorrect

I enjoyed both Kick-Ass films, I found them to be entertaining and quirky. However, if they never make another one again, I wouldn't even flinch.

MOVIESWITHBUTTER.COM (Fantastic Name For A Website!) had a chance to speak with star of Kick-Ass 1 & 2 Chloe Grace Moretz aka Hit Girl about the future of the franchise and a possible 3rd installment.

“You know, I hope, I wish. That’s be fun. That’d be great. I doubt it, but I would love it.”

"The hard thing is if fans want a third movie, they’ve got to go buy the ticket to go see the movie,” Moretz said. “It was like the second most pirated movie of the year, so if you want a movie to be made into a second, a third, a fourth and a fifth, go buy a ticket. Don’t pirate it.”

I know Chloe is fresh of her Saturn Award win but answering that question with a straight face might be her best performance yet. The truth is the film didn't perform well at the box office and is not financially viable to the studio, so making a 3rd one doesn't make much sense right now.

If "fans of the franchise chose to watch the film on their computer screens rather than the big screen that is even more of a reason not to bother continuing the franchise, nevermind the could care less attitude of the general public.

Ben Affleck Is In Other Films When Not Playing Batman; Four Posters For "Gone Girl"

You know when you go to a classy restaraunt and order a Shrimp Cocktail but it's not what you're really focused on? Sure, Shrimp Cocktail is tasty and all but you really are waiting to slowly carve your way through Prime Rib. David Fincher's Gone Girl is the Shrimp to Ben Affleck's version of the Dark Knight in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

Although the film has a bit of buzz it is the appetizer before the main course, but that hasn't stopped the marketing department from impressing. Fox has released four new posters revealing evidence bags with clues to the mystery behind Gillian Flynn's best selling novel Gone Girl.

"Planes: Fire & Rescue" Lends a Hand in Promoting Wildfire Prevention

In an effort to educate the public on how to prevent accidental wildfires, Disney announced today that they are joining the Ad Council, the U.S. Forest Service and the National Association of State Foresters to launch a new series of public service advertisements that will feature scenes and characters from Disneytoon Studios’ upcoming animated film Planes: Fire & Rescue. The PSAs are an extension of the Wildfire Prevention PSA campaign, featuring the iconic Smokey Bear, who celebrates his 70th birthday this summer. You can check out an initial awareness poster below.

According to the U.S. Forest Service, over the past 13 years, an annual average of 6.7 million acres have been burned by wildfire. The most common sources of human-caused wildfires are campfires left unattended, debris burning on windy days, careless discarding of smoking materials and BBQ coals, and operating equipment without spark arrestors. Nine out of ten wildfires nationwide are caused by humans, yet many can be prevented by taking simple steps to properly put out a campfire.

“When we decided to make ‘Planes: Fire & Rescue,’ our team of filmmakers made several research trips to meet the brave men and women whose job it is to fight wildfires,” says Bobs Gannaway, “Planes: Fire & Rescue” director. “Those research trips changed us and forever impressed upon us the importance of wildfire prevention. To have our character, Dusty, take part in the legendary Smokey Bear’s campaign to prevent wildfires and encourage safe outdoor fire practices is one of the highest honors we could have.”

Created pro bono by Disney, the new English and Spanish television, out of home, digital and radio PSAs feature leading characters from the film, including air racer-turned-fire-fighting plane Dusty, spirited air tanker Dipper, veteran fire-and-rescue helicopter Blade Ranger and loving tourists Harvey and Winnie. The PSAs encourage audiences to be “Smokey’s Wingman” and do their part in preventing wildfires. The ads teach audiences the proper steps of extinguishing a campfire: drown the fire, stir it, drown it again and feel that the fire is out cold.

“We are excited to have characters of ‘Planes: Fire & Rescue’ serve as ambassadors of Smokey's wildfire prevention message," said Forest Service Chief Tom Tidwell. "In teaching people campfire safety tips, these PSAs will further the message of wildfire prevention to a broad audience."

“These PSAs are a wonderful extension of our longest running campaign and one of the most successful public service campaigns in history,” said Peggy Conlon, president and CEO of the Ad Council. “I’m confident that both the media and the public will embrace these ads and help continue to spread Smokey’s important wildfire prevention message.”

The PSAs encourage audiences to visit SmokeyBear.com for more safety tips and information on Smokey Bear and the Wildfire Prevention campaign. The website also features an interactive real-time wildfire map and a gallery of historic Smokey Bear ads over the last seven decades.
