Three Posters For Upcoming "Justice League Mortal" Documentary

I really appreciate the fact that there are people out there who want to put the effort in to uncover the truth behind some of these failed film productions. Warner Bros is especially ripe with doomed projects and Purberry Productions is looking to walk in the same boots as Jon Schnepp with a documentary about George Miller's canceled Justice League Mortal

Schnepp's The Death Of Superman Lives; What Happened was decent doc on the ups and downs of Tim Burton's attempt at Superman. It was interesting to see Nicholas Cage's take on Clark Kent and a further glimpse of what the finished classic Superman suit would have looked like. To Schnepp's credit, it did make me want to see Superman Lives, maybe an animated version with the actor's voices?

I really look forward to an inside look at some of the suits that Weta worked on for JLM, I think geekdom would agree. Until then, here are three posters to kick of the marketing of the project

"X-Men: Apocalypse" Comic-Con Poster & Interview With Bryan Singer

I don't remember if I am in the minority or majority anymore, nor do I even care, but I enjoyed Superman Returns. Sure there were some major flaws, but there was also a large number of flaws in Man Of Steel and I enjoyed that quite a lot as well. I think Bryan Singer put his heart and soul into Superman and it showed. Now back in the X-Men universe, Singer is doing the same for Fox and is looking to up the ante with X-Men: Apocalypse

Check out his interview with YAHOO MOVIES! where he discusses the 2016 film below and enjoy the Comic-Con poster above.

    Singer On Apocalypse:

“Apocalypse is a pretty cool character, X-Men is always centered around the fight between mutants and humans. This one is a bit different, it deals with the concept of ancient mutantism, gods and men. It deals with issues that are global. Apocalypse makes no distinction between humans and mutants, only between the weak and the strong. He as a character is what is so ultimately compelling.”

Singer On The Younger Versions Of Jean, Scott, Storm and Nightcrawler:

“These are very different characters than they were in the films X-Men 1, 2, and 3,” he states. “They are at times in their lives when they are at the most opposite of what they would become. That’s a thrill to me, to take characters I crafted so many years ago and flip them completely on their side and show how they evolved and began.”

    Singer On The Classic Suits:

“The X-Men are sort of a fighting team, so it was always an attempt at being realistic to have them in fighting uniforms, flight suits, things like that,” Singer suggests. “In ‘X-Men: First Class,’ which I produced and wrote the story for, we hark back to the original colors of the original costumes from the 1963 comics. I will say that in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse,’ there is a chance -without giving anything away- that you may get closer to seeing what I think, Mr. X-Men News, you are interested in seeing. I know its something that I’ve been interested in, I just always wanted to do it the right way.”

The Brothers Warner Get Mad, Release "Suicide Squad" Trailer

I honestly don't know why it surprises a studio that bootleg footage of some kind would come out of a presentation at Comic-Con anymore. Especially footage from a big nerd film like Suicide Squad. Trust me, I'm not condoning bootlegging of a studio's property, I just expect this to happen at these giant conventions.

Apparently it pisses Warner Bros off to no end and they decided, "If you can't beat them, join them" releasing the Comic-Con trailer after trying unsuccessfully to stall the virus like spread of the illegally obtained material.

Here is a statement from Sue Kroll, President Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution At Warner Bros:

“Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation.”

The studio had no choice in this case if you ask me, but considering the mostly positive reception the trailer is getting, seems like a win despite the lawyer-like statement from Kroll aimed at an overzealous fanboy.

Enjoy the trailer below and get your first real glimpse of Jared Leto's Joker and hear the Heath Ledger like voice for the first time in HD.

First Poster For Michael Dougherty's "Krampus"

I've always been a big fan of Michael Dougherty. I've paid close attention to his career; from his work on X-Men & Superman Returns to his horror-themed art and directorial venture on Trick 'r Treat. I'm grateful for his part in bringing the Man Of Steel back to the big screen for the first time in almost 30 years and the excitement and anticipation leading up to the film has not been duplicated for me personally since.

When I heard he was taking the lead on Christmas horror film Krampus, I knew he was the right person for the job based on my appreciation for Trick 'r Treat. Take a peak at the poster below and if you haven't had the time to check out his art please head over to his WEBSITE, a lot of these images helped to inspire Trick 'r Treat

When his dysfunctional family clashes over the holidays, young Max (Emjay Anthony) is disillusioned and turns his back on Christmas. Little does he know, this lack of festive spirit has unleashed the wrath of Krampus: a demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers. All hell breaks loose as beloved holiday icons take on a monstrous life of their own, laying siege to the fractured family’s home and forcing them to fight for each other if they hope to survive.
