Ryan Reynolds Wishes You'd Stop Asking Jason Bateman about An Arrested Development Movie

How much is Jason Bateman sick and tired of being asked about that Arrested Development movie? Enough for Ryan Reynolds to "mockingly" send up his real thoughts to Coming Soon on that question asked every single time he has a new movie to promote:

For real, how many more times can Bateman, Will Arnett or Jeffrey Tambor keep using the same "Mitch Hurwitz is writing it and we'll hopefully start filming by next year" answer before it sinks into these idiot interviewer's skulls that it's a pipe-dream?

As a fan of the television-series (neck-in-neck with The Simpsons as my favorite show) and curious to see what Hurwitz could concoct for the Bluths circa 2011, even I don't think it's ever going to happen. Stop wasting everyone's time with these hit-whoring questions and move the fuck on.

"Gainsbourg: A Heroic Life" Official Poster

Taking the best from LA VIE EN ROSE and AMÉLIE, renowned comic book artist Joann Sfar’s GAINSBOURG: A HEROIC LIFE is a completely original take on one of France’s greatest mavericks, the illustrious and infamous Jewish singer-songwriter, Serge Gainsbourg (Eric Elmosnino). Born Lucien Ginsburg to Russian-Jewish parents, Sfar follows him from his precocious childhood in Nazi-occupied Paris, to his beginnings as small time jazz musician and finally pop superstar.  Along the way he romances many of the era’s most beautiful women, including Juliette Greco (Anna Mouglalis), Brigitte Bardot (Laetitia Casta) and Jane Birkin (Lucy Gordon). Employing a witty surrealistic style and a soundtrack that includes many of the musician’s greatest hits, GAINSBOURG: A HEROIC LIFE is a quintessential time capsule to ‘60’s Paris.

Charlie Sheen Goes Zombie In "Two And A Half Men"

Pretty much how I thought this was going to go. Don't mess with studio suits Charlie Sheen, or they will kill you!. Well, they won't kill you, but they'll kill your character. Also, you won't get any of those cute little cucumber sandwiches at the catering table.

TOLJDA! is reporting that the first episode of the 8th season of "Two And A Half Men" will feature the funeral for the now dead character of Charlie Harper, aka Charlie "Tigerblood" Sheen. Hey Sheen, Chuck Lorre says "What Up?"

Apparently all of Charlie's girlfriends will return to see their piece of dude meat off into the great blue yonder. There are also reports that characters from other Lorre shows will cross over at the funeral, possibly along with Lorre himself.

Look for the show's ratings to also drop dead after the first handful of episodes when the novelty wears off and the average Joes and Sally housemakers realize they are watching the guy from "Dude Where's My Car" on primetime.

When asked for comment Ashton Kutcher was too busy in his trailer "punking" himself to the news.

Laurence Fishburne IS Perry White in The Man of Steel

The Man of Steel was already breaking ground by featuring the first non-American as Superman with Englishman Henry Cavill donning the red-and-blue suit.

Entertainment Weekly says it'll also sport the first non-Caucasian Perry White: Laurence Fishburne.

This I can get behind. I can't imagine too many folks who would be against this inspired bit of casting. Besides racist morons, of course. You can easily imagine Fishburne hounding the Daily Planet staff on a regular basis and bantering back and forth with Amy Adams' Lois Lane. He's come a long way since those Cowboy Curtis days on Pee-Wee's Playhouse.

Now...how will his "Great Caesar's ghost!" delivery sound?

Castle Season 4 Comic-Con Official Promo

This one just popped up online and I hadn't heard anything about it from all the various SDCC reports I read. Castle is my favourite TV show and if you saw last season you know it ended with a hell of a finale and Detective Kate Beckett getting shot, all of it of course linked to the murder of her mother many years earlier that her and Castle have been investigating on and off over the course of the 3 seasons.

In truth this is not a promo but a clip of the opening scene of episode one of season 4. The season starts on September 19th.

Clip From Marvel One-Shot: The Consultant

So apparently on the Thor DVD and Blu Ray release Marvel have put a short film in the special features titled "The Consultant". It features Agent Coulson who you probably know from Iron Man and Thor among others for his small role as a SHIELD agent.

Comingsoon.net got the clip from the short via Marvel and I'll be honest, I'd not have remembered the character's name without the blurb that came with the article, but he's essentially the guy connecting all the Marvel films together with Fury so that all are interlinked going into The Avengers.

The clip is just some chat between 2 agents but seems to be setting up a scene between Tony Stark and General Ross.

Hughes Heading to 'Motor City' with Chris Evans?

Ever wonder what an action film would be like with no dialogue?  Nothing except shit blowing up and guns going off?  Well, looks like we might get to see.

Albert Hughes (one half of The Hughes Bros., The Book of Eli) is said to be aboard to direct Chad St. John's famous Black List script, Motor City.  For those who don't know, The Black List is the annual Hollywood list of the best, unproduced screenplays.

Motor City is described as a prototypical revenge film about a small time crook sent to jail for a crime he didn't commit, only to get even with those who put him there once released.  But get this:

There's only a single line of dialogue in the entire script.

How could this be made you say?  Two words: Joel. Silver.  You know, the guy whose produced pretty much every great action film for the past thirty years (Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, The Matrix).

But it gets even better.  Silver wants none other than Captain America himself, Chris Evans, for the lead.  Silver apparently feels Evans finally has the starpower to carry a film and has offered him the part.  Evans is yet to accept but I don't see why he wouldn't considering he's probably already drained from playing Captain America two films in a row.

It's also noted that even if Evans does not accept (doubtful), Jeremy Renner (really?) or Joel Edgerton could jump in.  Regardless of Evans though, Hughes is firmly attached to this project and looking to start filming in January.

Let's just hope Evans has the smarts to accept as it would definitely showcase his underrated acting talent that only finally got to be seen mainstream in Captain America.

More on this project to come.

"Shaolin" Poster, Trailer, & Photos

ComingSoon.Net has the trailer & poster for "Shaolin" along with a plethora of photos which you can view in their gallery HERE.

As feuding warlords fight to expand their power, the noble monks of the Shaolin temple clean up the mess left behind, tending to the injured while trying their best to protect the poor and weak. The young general Hao Jie (Andy Lau from "Warlords" and "Infernal Affairs") has caused much of this mess, with his violent and ruthless tactics that rarely discriminate between soldiers and civilians.

When Hao is betrayed by fellow general Cao Man (Nicolas Tse from "The Promise" and "Shaolin Soccer"), he is forced into hiding, and takes refuge with the monks (including Jackie Chan) at their hidden mountain temple. As the days pass, he finds himself more and more at ease, as he learns the ways of peace. But Cao is not far behind, and war soon reaches the temple, where the monks are ready to fight back with a fierce style that none of the warlords have ever seen- their unstoppable Shaolin Kung Fu.
