Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Don Jon Poster - Everyone Loves A Happy Ending

In the film, Jon Martello (Gordon-Levitt) is a strong, handsome, good old fashioned guy. His buddies call him Don Jon due to his ability to "pull" a different woman every weekend, but even the finest fling doesn't compare to the bliss he finds alone in front of the computer watching pornography. Barbara Sugarman (Scarlett Johansson) is a bright, beautiful, good old fashioned girl. Raised on romantic Hollywood movies, she's determined to find her Prince Charming and ride off into the sunset. Wrestling with good old fashioned expectations of the opposite sex, Jon and Barbara struggle against a media culture full of false fantasies to try and find true intimacy in this unexpected comedy.

Warner Bros Take Note - Fan Made "Batman Vs Superman" Poster Is Legit

I've touched upon this before and beating dead horses never gets you that far, but one more time for those who weren't paying attention.

The Man Of Steel video marketing campaign was stellar. The poster campaign for Man Of Steel was not, in my opinion of course. The TV Spots and Trailers put the asses in the seats for an opening weekend propelling Man Of Steel to nearly $300 Million, but those posters didn't do anybody any favors. I remember seeing fan posters at the time that had more of an impact than the actual theatrical posters and the poster below is no exception.

Created by SUPERHEROHYPE FORUM user "jmc", this poster would make a great teaser for the just announced Batman Vs Superman film. What about a contest for fans to design the first teaser poster for the Batman vs Superman film? That sounds like a good idea to me. Warner Bros, are you listening? "Let Justice Be Done"

Amanda Seyfried Steams Up Two New "Lovelace" Posters

In 1972—before the internet, before the porn explosion—Deep Throat was a phenomenon: the first scripted pornographic theatrical feature film, featuring a story, some jokes, and an unknown and unlikely star, Linda Lovelace. Escaping a strict religious family, Linda discovered freedom and the high-life when she fell for and married charismatic hustler Chuck Traynor. As Linda Lovelace she became an international sensation—less centerfold fantasy than a charming girl-next-door with an impressive capacity for fellatio. Fully inhabiting her new identity, Linda became an enthusiastic spokesperson for sexual freedom and uninhibited hedonism. Six years later she presented another, utterly contradictory, narrative to the world—and herself as the survivor of a far darker story.

"Gravity" Marketing Movie At Warp Speed, New Imax Poster Released

In the film, hitting 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D theaters on October 4, Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone--tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth...and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" Goes Viral With Trask Industries Website

I have to say there has been some good viral campaigns lately and the Trask Industries Website just going live courtesy of Fox for X-Men: Days Of Future Past might be the best one yet.

The site features photos and company information relating to their Sentinel program launched by Bolivar Trask, and we get a great glimpse of Peter Dinklage in the role. The program was designed to destroy mutants.

The site features several company slogans, "Advancing Human Progress For 50 Years", "Preserving Humanity Through Technology",  and "Responding To The Genetic Threat". Check out some photos from the site below along with a video.

Original Superman Producer Ilya Salkind Is Meh On "Man Of Steel"

Man Of Steel certainly made some money domestically and overseas, but it was front loaded and is now going to fall $10 million plus short of $300 million domestic. For those that are counting, that is only the 2nd film outside of the Harry Potter & Twilight series to not hit $300 million domestic after opening to $100 million plus. Interesting fact for you to think about.

The not so epic descent of the film's box office is partly due to people seeing the film, shrugging, and then moving on. Not everybody felt like this, but there was enough of them to ensure the film stayed below the $300 million range. Produer of Superman: The Movie & Superman II had a similar reaction.

    "I think it's a little Batmanish."

"Robocop" Toy Images Reveal Multiple Suit Designs

I'm not sure about the rest of the internet, but as I have mentioned in some of my past posts on Robocop, I'm excited for the movie. I was happy to see that there was a presence at Comic-Con, despite the fact that the event mostly caters to the fanboy & has evolved into one long studio sponsored party.

I'm still going next year despite that. Thank you.

Below is the first glimpse at Robocop merchandise courtesy of collectible website KanpekiSetto. The images include a multitude of Robocop suits that are rumored to be unleashed in the upcoming film. Based of the images, they already look miles ahead of what the Man Of Steel merchandising team had to offer. Head over to Gotham-News for some additional images.

In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Overseas, their drones have been used by the military for years – and it’s meant billions for OmniCorp’s bottom line. Now OmniCorp wants to bring their controversial technology to the home front, and they see a golden opportunity to do it. When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit – is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer. OmniCorp envisions a RoboCop in every city and even more billions for their shareholders, but they never counted on one thing: there is still a man inside the machine pursuing justice.

Writer & Director Mitch Cohen Raises Over $10,000 At SDCC Towards "Super Zero" Kickstarter

After raising 10,000.00 towards the Kickstarter campaign by feverishly working the crowds at last week's Comic Con, there is one week left to contribute to the Kickstarter campain for zombie film Super Zero.

Mitch is hoping that the horror buffs and the film aficionados across the interwebs will come together to support the project and help him to reach their goal.

If fervor and preparedness were enough to make a film in Hollywood, viewers in movie theaters across the country would already be enjoying Mitch Cohen’s original film, “Super Zero.” However, since the one thing it does take to make a film is money, Cohen, a 36-year-old L.A.-based writer and director, recently launched a Kickstarter.com campaign – http://kck.st/15dN7BX – to make his vision for a new kind of zombie movie a reality. The production team will head to Comic-con to rally the community.

Cohen, a father to two-year-old twins, who over the last few years has been responsible for some of the industry’s most recognizable video game campaigns, conceived the unconventional “geek culture” film years ago, but was forced to put his passion project on hold with the arrival of his children. Now, with a little help from friends and strangers alike, Cohen and his team are hoping to raise $34,500 by July 31, 2013 to get the project off the ground.

An original take on a popular genre, Super Zero is described as the story of a geeky, shy and terminally ill teen, who rises from utter insignificance to become a zombie assassin and mankind's last hope for survival. In traditional zombie films, by definition, the end of the world is the worst possible scenario for all characters. In Cohen’s Super Zero, the film’s protagonist finally finds the purpose in his life while the rest of the world scrambles to save theirs.

"Super Zero is really an epic win for the average guy,” said Cohen of his film. “The movie celebrates the overlooked, the eccentric and the powerless, combining sci-fi/horror with comic book-inspired action, irreverent comedy and a totally relatable and ultimately awesome average guy lead character. Plus there are zombies…lots and lots of zombies!"

Cohen, a self-confessed lover of all things geek, further describes Super Zero as his personal love letter to the community. He is hopeful that all those out there that may resemble him, or perhaps more aptly may identify with Super Zero’s protagonist, who is the everyday gamer/comic book kid, will be inspired to join his team and support the project. Cohen also hopes he may strike a chord with other visionaries out there that understand the struggle to balance family and career.

"Kickstarter is an amazing tool for identifying and connecting with audiences that share your passion and vision, even before you’re able to bring it to the screen,” said Cohen. “And much like the story behind Super Zero, it allows average folks to be a part of something extraordinary."

Interested contributors can select pledge categories from $1 to $10,000+ and receive varying rewards for joining the Super Zero production team, including signed scripts, cameos in the film, set visits and on-screen production credits.

Additionally, Cohen's vision for Super Zero merely starts with the short film. He hopes it’s just the first step on what he's designed as a complete new franchise. "There are so many great things planned for this world and stories within it to tell. And the most exciting aspect of it is that it’s perfect as a transmedia vehicle," said Cohen. “The short feeds the feature film, which will be augmented by web content and even a video game. I see it as an ecosystem of cool things to explore."

Cohen, the film’s writer and director, is joined on Super Zero by Producer Shane Spiegel and Cinematographer Idan Menin. For more information on Super Zero, the filmmakers and the Kickstarter campaign, please visit http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/811236299/super-zero-0?ref=live.
