What Henry Cavill "Could" Look Like As Clark Kent

It looks like "Man Of Steel" or "Superman: Man Of Steel" started filming today. The general public might not care all that much, heck they don't even know they are filming nevermind that they are even making another Superman movie, but the fans do.

We know they are filming, the blogs of the world. So do the fanboys that live at the bottom of the forums, they are more excited than a virgin rounding 2nd base.

A lot of these forum posters possess a boatload of talent when it comes to photo manips involving their favorite men in tights. Once such talented poster who calls himself "shieldshero" from the SuperHeroHype Forums created his own version of what Henry Cavill might look like as Clark Kent.

Not a bad photoshop. Here is the Origininal.

Pittsburgh Experiences A Dark Knight

"The Dark Knight Rises" is invading Pittsburgh at full force, and Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale made statements with some pressure from the Pittsburgh Film Office because of the high interest level by the natives. Obviously there will be insane security on the set so this is  as close as you are going to get to seeing the powers surrouding Batman on film.

Check out the video featuring Christian Bale below along with quotes from Christopher Nolan courtesy of Pittsburgh Business Times.

Christopher Nolan Quotes:

"When you're making a large-scale action film that has to showcase the vitality and size of a large American city but also involves a certain amount of disruption to that city in order to make the action credible on screen"

"It's a very beautiful city on a very impressive scale and that hasn't lost its human scale, that is very impressive and very hard to find."

"The Dark Knight Rises" will be all over Pittsburgh, turning the Steel City into Batman's Gotham City setting. But there will be plenty of Pittsburgh landmarks in the film, including Heinz Field (the scene of a big football game and crowd scene), Carnegie Mellon UniversitybizWatch , Downtown and a house in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh. There will be road closures and city, county and state officials said that the inconveniences would be worth it to eventually see Pittsburgh on the big screen.

Chewie, What Have You Done?!

In what may have been the best promo yet for Cowboys & Aliens, Harrison Ford appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and had an awkward run-in with an old friend:

I wonder if it ever crossed Daniel Craig's mind when he was watching Star Wars as kid that one day Han Solo would refer to him as "his Wookie bitch."  I'm guessing not.

Cowboys & Aliens opens in theaters tomorrow.  You can also see Harrison Ford and Chewbacca during happier times when Star Wars comes out on blu-ray September.

"Captain America" Final Scene & Sneak Peak At "The Avengers"

Yahoo Movies has released the final scene from "Captain America" which contains a sneak peak at "The Avengers" teaser which plays during the credits. Interesting bit of marketing on Marvel's part. A teaser for a teaser that's at the end of the credits of a film. I never thought I would find myself typing that.

The folks over at Yahoo Movies were also kind enough to take some screenshots from "The Avengers teaser which you can view below.

New "Two And A Half Men" Promo Shot

It's still weird without Charlie Sheen and I'm not sure if sticking to the familiar marketing path they used with the previous version is the way to go, but below it is. It should be an interesting mix with Kutcher joining the cast and the show will start off well if only out of curiousity. I'm assuming interest will drop off as the season goes on but nevertheless it's a reality.

I still would have been more of a fan if Hugh Grant took the role as was rumored.

Glen Mazzara Is The New "Walking Dead" Showrunner

The Walking Dead's Glen Mazzara, writer and executive producer, is expanding his responsibilities to assume the role of showrunner. AMC is grateful to executive producer, writer and pilot director Frank Darabont whose contributions to the success of The Walking Dead are innumerable. We continue to discuss his ongoing role with the series.

Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead graphic novels, executive producer and writer on the series, will remain in this role and will continue to steward the brand. Gale Anne Hurd will remain in her role as Executive Producer. The production continues on schedule for an October 16th premiere.

Filming Commences on Hyde Park on Hudson

Focus Features announced today that filming starts this week for Hyde Park on Hudson and has revealed the full cast:

Academy Award nominees Bill Murray and Laura Linney star in the historical tale Hyde Park on Hudson, which began filming this week in the U.K. for co-producers and co-financiers Focus Features and Film4. BAFTA Award winner Roger Michell (Film4's Venus) is directing from a screenplay by Richard Nelson. Focus CEO James Schamus made the announcement today.

Focus will release Hyde Park on Hudson in the second half of 2012. Focus holds worldwide rights – excluding U.K. free-TV rights, which are held by Film4 – to the movie. Filming is taking place in the U.K. on the Free Range Films/Daybreak Pictures production. Kevin Loader (In the Loop) and David Aukin (Endgame) are producing the feature with Mr. Michell. Focus executive vice president, European production Teresa Moneo is supervising Hyde Park on Hudson.

In June 1939, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (played by Mr. Murray) and his wife Eleanor (Olivia Williams of Focus' Hanna) host the King and Queen of England (Samuel West of Mr. Michell's Persuasion and Olivia Colman of Film4's The Iron Lady) for a weekend at the Roosevelt home at Hyde Park on Hudson, in upstate New York – the first-ever visit of a reigning English monarch to America. With Britain facing imminent war with Germany, the Royals are desperately looking to FDR for support. But international affairs must be juggled with the complexities of FDR's domestic establishment, as wife, mother, and mistresses all conspire to make the royal weekend an unforgettable one. Seen through the eyes of Daisy (Ms. Linney), Franklin's distant cousin, neighbor, and intimate, the weekend will produce not only a special relationship between two great nations, but, for Daisy – and through her, for us all – a deeper understanding of the mysteries of love and friendship.

The cast of Hyde Park on Hudson also includes Elizabeth Wilson (The Birds), Elizabeth Marvel (True Grit), and Eleanor Bron (Help!). Simon Bowles (Centurion) is the film's production designer; Dinah Collin (The Ghost Writer) is the costume designer. The cinematographer is Lol Crawley (Film4's Four Lions).

Mr. Schamus said, "Filmgoers will be intrigued by this unique exploration of the all-too-human side of one of history's great men. Roger is an actor's director who will guide Bill and Laura through their playing of Richard's script, which beautifully encompasses satire and drama."

Film4's Tessa Ross said, "This promises to be an extraordinary film; we have our dream cast and a great crew on board, we're partnering anew with our friends at Focus, and we're working once again with the exceptional Roger Michell. What a privilege for Film4 to be on this journey with them all."

The Ides of March Trailer & Poster

Yahoo! Movies has the trailer and poster for the George Clooney directed political drama 'The Ides of March'. The film stars Clooney, Ryan Gosling, Paul Giamatti and Phillip Seymour Hoffman, so I am guessing they are hoping for some Oscar love.

Clooney has shown himself to be an accomplished director and is a proven actor and Gosling is one of the most versatile and talented young actors out there, when you add in the supporting cast and what looks like a gripping story of the machinations of a Presidential campaign, I think we may well have a winner here.
