"Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil" Poster

TUCKER & DALE VS. EVIL is a hilariously gory, good-spirited horror comedy, doing for killer rednecks what Shaun of the Dead did for zombies. Tucker and Dale are two best friends on vacation at their dilapidated mountain house, who are mistaken for murderous backwoods hillbillies by a group of obnoxious, preppy college kids. When one of the students gets separated from her friends, the boys try to lend a hand, but as the misunderstanding grows, so does the body count. TUCKER AND DALE VS EVIL has been a hit on the festival circuit, debuting at Sundance, and winning the Midnight Audience Award at SXSW, the Jury Prize for First Feature at Fantasia, the Best Director award at Fantaspoa, and the Best Motion Picture Award at Sitges.

Killer Joe Poster

Comingsoon.Net have an exclusive look at the poster for dark comedy thriller 'Killer Joe', starring Matthew McConaughey, Emile Hirsch and Thomas Haden Church.

Directed by William Friedkin (The French Connection) this quirky little movie may just be another good choice for McConaughey, who plays the titular hitman, following on from his excellent performance in 'The Lincoln Lawyer'.

n Killer Joe, when 22-year-old drug dealer Chris (Hirsch) has his stash stolen by his mother, he has to come up with six thousand dollars quick or he's dead. Desperate, he turns to "Killer Joe" (McConaughey) when he finds out that his mother's life insurance policy is worth $50,000. Although Joe usually demands cash up front, he finds himself willing to bend the rules in exchange for Chris' attractive younger sister, Dottie (Temple), who will serve as sexual collateral until the money comes in... if it ever does.

Killer Joe, is making its worldwide premiere at the Venice Film Festival before making its North American debut at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film is produced by Nicolas Chartier (The Hurt Locker) and Scott Einbinder.

Two International Real Steel Posters

Latino Review has gotten hold of two International posters for Real Steel, Personally I like them both, in fact all the posters for this film have been pretty decent.

Real Steel hits cinemas October 7th.

A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future, where the sport of boxing has gone hi-tech, Real Steel stars Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.

Johnny Depp Tells Disney, "Not Without My Gore!"

Gore Verbinski and Jerry Bruckheimer have made their concessions and presented the tightened budget for The Lone Ranger to Disney, weeks after the studio castrated the production months before its fall 2011 start-date. The Mouse fearful of the reported $275-$300 million price-tag wouldn't be recouped in the wake of Cowboys & Aliens as commercial turd and the international markets, where Johnny Depp (playing Tonto, reportedly the lead instead of what's traditionally the sidekick role a la Big Trouble in Little China and The Green Hornet and Armie Hammer as the title character) is still a box-office god and where the majority of the gross will come from, being tepid towards westerns.

One of the hypothetical solutions was firing Verbinski and replacing him with a Yes-Man helmer who would do what his master(s) told him.

The problem in that equation, according to Mike Fleming at "TOLDJA," is Depp has made it clear to Disney. Fire Gore Verbinski and you'll have to look for a new Tonto. In an environment where loyalty means dick as long as you can get ahead, this is refreshing to read.

That doesn't mean I'm going to 180 on my anti-The Lone Ranger (well, this version) stance. But good on Depp for sticking with his pal. Still seems like a lost cause, if you ask me. This is an issue which would have been addressed a long time ago privately (Depp's been attached to this since 2008) and to bring it up this late into the game says to me no matter what is presented the big-wigs at Disney had long already made up their minds on killing The Lone Ranger. Then again, how many other actors can claim three $1 billion earning hits?

Strange Feeling about John Moore Directing Die Hard 5 Comes to Me – Indifference

John Moore appears to be a perfectly capable director.

From the clips I've seen, the dialogue syncs properly with the lip movement of the actors, it's color-corrected and there's camera movement giving something visual for our eyes to look at. The thing is, though, I've actually never sat through any of his films from beginning to end, nor have I ever made the effort to rent them or see them theatrically.

That's not a strike against him per say. There was never anything from his filmography that screamed, "You must see this once during your life!" I know of his work, that he's a stable at 20th Century Fox and were it not for Brett Ratner, he would have been the first guy to follow in Bryan Singer's foot-steps directing X-Men: The Last Stand.

Which I suppose is why Bruce Willis and the studio hand-picked him to helm Die Hard 5, reports "TOLDJA."

When I say, "hand-picked," I mean they needed someone to fill the open spot left by the originally-hired Noam Murro who vacated that chair when voices from Warner Brothers and Zack Snyder (himself too busy on the re-return of Superman) led him astray to 300: Battle of Artemisia. After being on their short-lists every time a tentpole was in need of a director, I guess it was Moore's time.

Just don't ask me to be excited, or depressed for that matter.

More Faora On The Set Of "Man Of Steel"

I think the last time we saw Antje Traue she was looking hot as ever in a simple pair of sweats. Must be the gear she kicks back in when she isn't whooping the Man Of Steel's ass as the Kryptonian villainess, Faora.

Now we have some more photos of the she-villain in what looks like some Kryptonian battle armor, either that or she is wearing some prototype catching gear. It is obvious they are updating the character of Ursa of "Superman II" fame by injecting her look into an already established character in the comics, or is that vice versa? Either way I like the move, some sexual tension mixed in never hurt a good battle.

Superman's Cape Is Attached

A couple photos surfaced yesterday from the set of Man of Steel, showcasing a much clearer look at the suit being worn by Henry Cavill. Another picture was released today with the cape attached to the costume, too bad it is merely a really fantastic photoshop job, although it is an accurate representation of what Cavill would look like cape attached.

I thought I may have been one of those Superman purists who refuses to enjoy any suit that doesn't follow the classic style almost exactly, but they are winning me over with each new photo. The design is clearly Superman just with a modern update and it actually feels more alien like it could be Kryptonian.

The photo manipulation comes courtesy of poster ifriedrice of the SuperHeroHypeForums Below are some more Photoshop wizardry from the same forums, Cavill with trunks.

New Promo Art For The Avengers

These art pieces for the upcoming Avengers film aren't bad at all, it's just that they're drawings and not the actors themselves in the shot. This new piece is at least more interesting than the last piece released and still gives you a tingle that a team-up this large is being brought to the screen. Hopefully some life action shots of the actors and cgi Hulk will start popping up soon.

Cheadle Planet

I really wish this would be made into a live-action film. I'm sure if an actual movie gets made it won't be on the same level of greatness as this clip from Funny Or Die. Wouldn't expect Cheadle doing this, but he is glorious as Captain Planet. The thrust beams are especially magical.
