Exclusive: Charlie Sheen in Negotiations for Scary Movie 5

It's OK to admit you were one of the twenty-eight million people who watched the Two & a Half Men season premiere. Hey, curiosity gets the better of us and Lord knows the Charlie Sheen-absent, Ashton Kutcher-replacing episode felt surprisingly less awkward than last night's The Office premiere with James Spader and Ed Helms taking over in place of the exiting Steve Carell.

While Sheen pretends to be nice and sober (as to convince networks he won't pull the same crap that got him fired from Two & a Half Men so they'll pick up the proposed Anger Management series), there's still movie work on the horizon, specifically a high-profile sequel to one of his more successful features. No, not Major League 4, but, Lord save us, Scary Movie 5.

Sources tell TMT that Sheen's taken up Harvey Weinstein on his public offer back in March and negotiations are underway for him to appear in the fifth Scary Movie installment due in theaters next April.

Cue more assholes spewing, "Winning!" jokes, references to tiger-blood and even more glorification of his self-destructive attitude. Because who cares that the man has parents watching in horror knowing there's nothing they can do to stop him for his own good or four small children who will one day have to read about all of this? Yeah, fuck that bullshit as long as you can joke about it on Comedy Central celebrity roasts.

"Fireflies In The Garden" Poster

To an outsider, the Taylors are the very picture of the successful American family: Charles is a tenured professor on track to become university president, son Michael is a prolific and well-known romance novelist, daughter Ryne is poised to enter a prestigious law school, and on the day we are introduced to them, matriarch Lisa will graduate from college—decades after leaving to raise her children. But when a serious accident interrupts the celebration, the far more nuanced reality of this Midwestern family’s history and relationships come to light.

Another "The Three Musketeers" Poster

The hot-headed young D’Artagnan (Logan Lerman) joins forces with three veteran Musketeers to prevent the villainous Cardinal Richelieu (Christoph Waltz) from seizing the French throne and engulfing Europe in war in this fast-paced, action-filled reboot of Alexandre Dumas’ classic 17th-century adventure.

When famed Musketeers Athos (Matthew Macfayden), Aramis (Luke Evans), and Porthos (Ray Stevenson) steal highly coveted project designs from a high-security vault, the sweet taste of success is short-lived. Their beautiful partner in crime, Milady (Milla Jovovich), drugs the trio and sells the designs to a higher bidder, the ultra-cool Englishman, Buckingham (Orlando Bloom). It’s a major blow to the famed swordsmen. So when, three years later, the devil-may-care young D’Artagnan journeys to Paris to realize his dream of becoming a Musketeer, he finds them a shadow of their former selves, working menial jobs and seeking a causer worth serving.

The conniving Cardinal Richelieu hatches a deadly plot to overthrow the young King Louis (Freddie Fox). Employing the doubly agent Milady to do the dirty work, he frames the King’s new bride, Queen Anne (Juno Temple) in an affair with Buckingham. If the King buys into the lie, war with England will follow, the Queen will die and the people of France will demand a stronger leader—Richelieu himself—to see them through the crisis. If the King doesn’t buy into the lie, peace may yet stand a chance. But for peace to ensure, the three Musketeers and their young apprentice must undertake their most dangerous mission ever—to receive a priceless diamond necklace from the impregnable Tower of London and return it to the Queen in time for an all-important ball.

Can the four friends out-duel the armies of guards that will try to stop them? Can they outwit Richelieu, Buckingham and Milady? But most of all, can they re-kindle their “one-for-all and all-for-one” spirit of camaraderie and courage?

U.S. And Russian "Rum Diary" Theatrical Poster

Tiring of the noise and madness of New York and the crushing conventions of late Eisenhower-era America, Paul Kemp (Johnny Depp) travels to the pristine island of Puerto Rico to write for a local newspaper, The San Juan Star, run by downtrodden editor Lotterman (Richard Jenkins). Adopting the rum-soaked life of the island, Paul soon becomes obsessed with Chenault (Amber Heard), the wildly attractive Connecticut-born fiancee of Sanderson (Aaron Eckhart). Sanderson, a businessman involved in shady property development deals, is one of a growing number of American entrepreneurs who are determined to convert Puerto Rico into a capitalist paradise in service of the wealthy. When Kemp is recruited by Sanderson to write favorably about his latest unsavory scheme, the journalist is presented with a choice: to use his words for the corrupt businessmen's financial benefit, or use them to take the bastards down.

Michael Cerveris Rumored To Be Up For Lex Luthor

We at TMT heard from some of our trusted sources many months ago that the character of Lex Luthor was  in early drafts of the "Man Of Steel" script, and according to MovienewZ the maniacal billionaire is still on the mind of The Brothers Warner.

Character actor Michael Cerveris, best known for playing The Observer on the FOX television show ‘Fringe’, can be added to the list of names being considered for the role of Superman’s arch-nemeses Lex Luthor, however, the self-proclaimed “Greatest criminal mind of our time” wont likely appear until the Man Of Steel follow up.

I'm sure some of you will rant and rave for close minded reasons such as; "The site has a "Z" at the end of it's title?" or "I've never heard of that site!" Well let's not turn our backs just yet. The same website you might be questioning posted the synopsis for "Man of Steel" months before it was officially released. They were also the first site to mention Matthew Goode was in the running for Superman, which was confirmed to be true.

All of that said, there are some glaring holes in the exclusive. The website mentions a "list of names". I'm not sure we've read of any contenders for Lex Luthor in "Man Of Steel". Have we? In addition, why would WB be casting for a sequel that may or may not happen?

If this rumor has any legs at all, it might be possible that this actor was up for the role at one point but Luthor has already been cast or removed from the script. Another possibility is that the studio is still actively casting for what would be a smaller role and will be shooting scenes involving the character in Vancouver.

Fox To Adapt Asimov's 'The Caves of Steel'

I liked i, Robot but apparently the hardcore sci fi fans did not, and now another one of Asimov's books is being adapted for the big screen by Fox according to the toldya. This will be directed by Henry Hobson and written by John Scott. The duo are currently working on their first film called 'Maggie', so Fox are not going for experience on this.

The film is set around 3,000 years in the future and below is a synopsis from Amazon.

The first of Asimov's robot novels, chronicling the unlikely partnership between a New York City detective and a humanoid robot who must learn to work together. Detective Elijah Baley invesitgates the murder of an offworlder in Spacetown. In the opinion of the Spacers, the murder is tied up with recent attempts to sabotage the Spacer-sponsored project of converting Earth to an integrated human/robot society on the model of the Outer Worlds. To search for the killer in the City's vast caves of steel, Elijah is assigned a Spacer partner named R. Daneel. That's Robot Daneel. And notwithstanding the celebrated Three Laws of Robotics, which should make such a murder impossible, R. Daneel is soon Elijah's prime suspect.

I have to say this sounds great to me as I love this type of sci fi, and given how far into the future it is set we should see some fantastic new technology, however it seems a large undertaking for two guys who are yet to release a movie.

Poster And Trailer For Man On a Ledge

Ok so the title isn't the best and Sam Worthington divides opinion, but I have heard good things about the script for this and this trailer just put my ass in a cinema seat. It looks like an intense, intriguing thriller with a cool heist in the center of it.

As for the poster, it's very effective and probably not a good one to stare at too long if you suffer from vertigo, however the thing that caught my eye was the name Genesis Rodriguez, yes she's pretty but so are lots of girls, however that has gotta be one of the coolest stage names I've seen in some time, and her role in this seems pretty central.

Man on a Ledge opens January 13th, 2012 and you can check the trailer and poster below courtesy of Yahoo! Movies,
