Simon Cowell Returns! Preview of The X-Factor
Tue, July 12, 2011 I saw an episode of The X-Factor when I was in London a few years ago. Basically, it was American Idol (or Pop Idol, as it was originally known in the UK) with a wider variety of contestants being judged by an equally grumpy Simon Cowell. A girl group called "Bad Lashes" was booted off of the show that night to what appeared to be a fair amount of outrage and tears from the audience.
Well, it took long enough, but the we're about to get our own version of The X-Factor here in the US, and, god help us, they brought both Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul along for the ride.
Basically, it's just like American Idol, but different. And sort of the same. Oh, just judge for yourself in this new preview, which premiered tonight during the MLB All-Star Game:
I have a feeling the ratings are going to be big for this one. The X-Factor is set to premiere September 21 on Fox.
