    Box Office Predictions May 21-23

New in theaters this weekend is Shrek Forever After, expected to be the new champ, and MacGruber, not expected to do much at all. I just saw Shrek and was very happy with the end result, you can read my review HERE. As for MacGruber, I'm not expecting much and I have very little to say about it.

Iron Man 2 will finally take it's fall from the number one spot to number 2 this weekend, followed by Robin Hood in third.

Next week is the opening of Sex and The City 2, being that it's rated R I'm not sure it will beat out the family friendly Shrek in its second weekend. Never the less check back this time next week for my official review.

    1. Shrek Forever After (DreamWorks Animation/Paramount) - $95 million

    2. Iron Man 2 (Marvel/Paramount) - $23.0 million

    3. Robin Hood (Universal) - $15 million

    4. MacGruber (Universal) - $12 million

    5. Letters to Juliet (Summit) - $8.2 million

    6. Just Wright (Fox Searchlight) - $5.5 million

    7. How to Train Your Dragon (DreamWorks Animation/Paramount) - $3 million

    8. Date Night (20th Century Fox) - $2.4 million

    9. A Nightmare on Elm Street (New Line/WB) - $2.3 million

    10. The Back-up Plan (CBS Films) - $1.3 million
