Movie Moan - Hetero, Brunette, Athletic, Sleazy & Demure

It's lines like that which set the original 'Total Recall' apart from the rest of science fiction blockbuster cinema.  How can a remake possibly match it?

Well it can't but apparently it isn't that bad, and neither is 'The Bourne Legacy'.  Giving us the word on both is special guest of honour Edward Douglas, writer for comingsoon.net.

And we've got plenty more for you this week with a regular edition of classic Movie Moan, just as you like it:

2:40 mins - Edward and Jamie review 'Total Recall' or 'The Bourne Recall' as it should more honestly be known.

14 mins - Ed gives us a brief review of 'The Bourne Legacy' and dodging Universal's highly trained snipers while he does it.

17:45 mins - The UK finally got 'Ted' so Phil can talk about it with the others, only a month and a half late (big whopping super secret cameo spoiler is blown here too).

28:15 mins - 'The Hobbit' is officially a trilogy.  We are not amused.

41:50 mins - Is it utter folly for Fox to make 'Prometheus 2'?

50:15 mins - Time bending theories on the plot (and franchise continuity meltdown) of 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past'.

63:15 mins - We talk about the new trailers for 'Skyfall'.  I'm under-selling it but we are quite excited.

I haven't read The Hobbit in many years but it's no worse a book to split up than a book like Mockingjay, which is probably the worst given that most of the book is lacking Peeta and about as interesting as watching paint dry and it's not nearly long enough to warrant two separate movies.

On a semi-related topic, I don't understand why people think Jennifer Lawrence would forego the X-Men sequels just because Hunger Games made a killing. She seems the savvy enough type to know that she won't do HG forever and should keep taking on a variety of roles. She was making indies before so she's used to the smaller projects, plus from her interviews she comes across as a pretty funny gal and too sweet to get a swelled head to think she's too good for X-Men now that she's hit it so big. But I do also wonder if this is the last X-Men movie she'll do, not because she doesn't want to, but because eventually she'll be too busy to come back and do another one.

Yeah, sorry guys. I've had to take the link down because it isn't working at my end either, no matter what.

Bear with us while we try and sort it out.
