Cast Of "Man of Steel" Talk Superman On ABC's Nightline

    Henry Cavill

On putting on the Superman suit:

"That felt incredible, there is nothing quite like it. It's not just a suit. It's like when someone cooks you a wonderful meal and you can taste that there's love put in the food. It's the same thing with the suit."

    On relating to Clark Kent:

"I think we've all been there at one stage of our life, or presently, and I channeled that [loneliness]."

On receiving the phone call that he was cast:

"I thought, 'Oh my goodness. I'm Superman. I didn't do anything for about five minutes, just going, 'I don't quite know what to do with myself. Did that really happen?' And so, I called round and no one picked up their phones."

    On the audition:

"I wasn't physically ready for the suit. It's basically a Spandex outfit and I just thought, 'There's no way I'm getting this role.' I mean, you can act as hard as you want, but you can't act not fat."

    On giving up acting:

"I was getting very close to a lot of jobs, and then not getting them, and I mean, not the big stuff which we hear about. But I started to think, maybe I'm not the guy? Maybe I should leave and join the forces."

"It's incredibly surreal. It might even take me months to process, years to process, but it's just great to be here."

Six New TV Spots For "Despicable Me 2"

Our very own Jamie Williams insists that Despicable Me 2 is going to win the Summer, he's been saying it for months and months and is holding his ground. The movie is going to make major bank but I think Iron Man 3 with a 385 Million + take through Monday, has the summer crown ironed out.

I will say that Despicable Me 2 is going to put a hurting on Monster's University at the box office, not to say that Monsters University is going to flop. The marketing for MU has been absolutely fantastic it's just not Despicable Me 2, check out the first six TV spots for the animated feature below.

"The Butler" Still Looks Like A Parody Despite This Decent Poster

I know The Butler is getting some decent buzz and is being considered a big pile of stinking Oscar bait but when I saw John Cusack as Richard Nixon, I couldn't help but chuckle. It's not even close guys, if the casting is that distracting how am I going to pay attention to the performance?

Maybe I am jumping the gun and Cusack is either irrelevant to the story or his screen time is slight, but I couldn't get past it in the trailer. Some of the other members of the cast look like they are playing dress up, Jane Fonda as Nancy Regan? Looks like a Saturday Night Live parody.

To be fair, it can't all be bad. Alan Rickman looks hauntingly like former President Ronald Regan and James Marsden will probably kill it as JFK. I hope all my presumptuous bitching and moaning based off a trailer is just that and Forest Whitaker owns it shutting me up in the proces. New Poster below.

The August 16 release tells the story of a White House butler (Whitaker) who served eight American presidents over three decades. The film traces the dramatic changes that swept American society during this time, from the civil rights movement to Vietnam and beyond, and how those changes affected this man’s life and family.

    Poster For Whale Documentary "Blackfish"

Many of us have experienced the excitement and awe of watching 8,000 pound orcas, or “killer whales,” soar out of the water and fly through the air at sea parks, as if in perfect harmony with their trainers. Yet, in our contemporary lore this mighty black and white mammal is like a two-faced Janus—beloved as a majestic, friendly giant yet infamous for its capacity to kill viciously. Blackfish unravels the complexities of this dichotomy, employing the story of notorious performing whale Tilikum, who—unlike any orca in the wild—has taken the lives of several people while in captivity. So what exactly went wrong?

Shocking, never before seen footage and riveting interviews with trainers and experts manifest the orca’s extraordinary nature, the species’ cruel treatment in captivity over the last four decades and the growing disillusionment of workers who were misled and endangered by the highly profitable sea-park industry. This emotionally wrenching, tautly structured story challenges us to consider our relationship to nature and reveals how little we humans have learned from these highly intelligent and enormously sentient fellow mammals.

The pair's out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University's elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right.

    "Pacific Rim" TV Spot #3

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity's resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.
