First Clip "Scott Pilgrim Vs The World"

The first clip from Edgar Wrights Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is now online courtesy of MTV. The comic book adaptation stars Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Alison Pill, Brandon Routh and Jason Schwartzman. The film hits theaters on August 13.

I've said it before and I'll say it again the movie everyone said would suck is looking to be the exact opposite. I have no idea what's going on in this clip, but the movie does look and sound funny as shit. I know I'll be there opening day.

    New Trailer "The Company Men"

The new trailer for The Company Men from the Weinstein Company opening in theaters on October 22 is now online courtesy of Yahoo!Movies. Written and directed by John Wells, the drama stars Ben Affleck, Chris Cooper, Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones, Rosemarie DeWitt, Maria Bello and Craig T. Nelson.

In the film, Bobby Walker (Affleck) is living the American dream: great job, beautiful family, shiny Porsche in the garage. When corporate downsizing leaves him and co-workers Phil Woodward (Cooper) and Gene McClary (Jones) jobless, the three men are forced to re-define their lives as men, husbands, and fathers. Bobby soon finds himself enduring enthusiastic life coaching, a job building houses for his brother-in-law (Costner) which does not play to his executive skill set, and perhaps the realization that there is more to life than chasing the bigger, better deal.

I think more than anything it's nice to see Ben Afleck back at full form. I never personally felt like he fell off, but I know a lot of people were quick to drop him like a bad habit after Gili. At any rate between this and his next directorial effort and lead role in The Town how can you not feel like Afleck is bringing his A Game.

Also with this many academy award winners as the trailer is quick to point out can you really go wrong?

    Snyder and Johnstad Writing "Xerxes"

The Los Angeles Times recently spoke to director Zack Snyder to which he confirmed he's started writing the script for Frank Miller's Xerxes with his 300 co-writer Kurt Johnstad. According to Snyder the new film is neither a sequel nor prequel to 300. It should serve as more of a spin off from the sounds of it.

"We closed the writing deal on 'Xerxes.' We started writing about a week ago," Snyder said. "So we're doing it. It's happening... I don't have a directing deal in place but we are writing it, so call it intent."

"This movie follows Themistocles and the Battle of Artemisium, which coincidentally happens on the exact same three days as the Battle of Thermopylae [which was the basis of '300']," Snyder added. "This one starts off with a quick retelling of the why of the Persian wars. It starts off at the Battle of Marathon and then it goes back to Themistocles finding out that Persians are invading again. and off we go over to learn a little bit about why Xerxes is the way he is."

Well if this is  anywhere near as awesome as 300 was then I'm in. I've been impressed with everything I've seen from Snyder so far so until he proves me wrong I'll have to expect this will be amazing!

    Ghostbusters at Comic Con?

As much as I know some "fanboys" are completely against ghostbusters 3 ever happening I personally love the idea. Just get on with it though! There's been way too much back and forth between namely Dan Akroyd and the press about it possibly happening, and a script being written over the last few years that I think people are starting to get over the idea.

Well hopefully a photo posted today by LatinoReview is a sign that we "might" hear "something" new from Sony in regards to the status of the doomed sequel. I know the rumor had been for the longest time to have the old cast pass their proton packs down to a younger crew. In turn creating new generation of ghostbuster to carry the franchise. Problem is nothing's come out of Sony about the project in who knows how long, but hopefully this means we can slightly raise our hopes for now.

The ecto1 was spotted in San Diego!!!

    New photos from "Red"

Comingsoon has released 3 new pictures from the DC comics adaption RED starring Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Karl Urban, Mary-Louise Parker, Brian Cox, Julian McMahon and Richard Dreyfuss.

The two pictures below feature Helen Mirren holding different guns, how fucking awesome is that! Not that it really matters because I'm sure you're already pumped for this, but the plot is as follows:

In the film, Frank (Willis), Joe (Freeman), Marvin (Malkovich) and Victoria (Mirren) used to be the CIA's top agents – but the secrets they know just made them the Agency's top targets. Now framed for assassination, they must use all of their collective cunning, experience and teamwork to stay one step ahead of their deadly pursuers and stay alive. To stop the operation, the team embarks on an impossible, cross-country mission to break into the top-secret CIA headquarters, where they will uncover one of the biggest conspiracies and cover-ups in government history.

    Joe Johnston Talks Captain America

The Los Angeles Times recently spoke to director Joe Johnston about his interpretation of Captain America hitting theatres next summer. According to Johnston what they're doing is new twist on the Steve Rogers fans have come to know.

"We're sort of putting a slightly different spin on Steve Rogers," said Joe Johnston, "He's a guy that wants to serve his country but he's not a flag-waver. We're reinterpreting sort of what the comic book version of Steve Rogers was."

"He wants to serve his country, but he's not this sort of jingoistic American flag-waver," Johnston added. "He's just a good person. We make a point of that in the script: Don't change who you are once you go from Steve Rogers to this super-soldier, you have to stay who you are inside, that's really what's important more than your strength and everything. It'll be interesting and fun to put a different spin on the character and one that the fans are really going to appreciate."

This is one of those things that will either be huge or backfire in their faces from fanboy backlash. Granted the fanboy community only make up a small portion of the general movie going public, but the word of mouth they pass on to their non-fanboy friends could really hurt Caps total box-office. Hopefully Johnston does the character justice, and delivers something the fanboys can come to love.

    Hangover 2 confirmed for Thailand

Shortly after the success of The Hangover a rumor surfaced via Latino Review that they planned to film in Thailand. This was later debunked by director Todd Phillips in an interview with Collider earlier this year.

"I don't know," Phillips stated in response to the claim, "There's a lot of rumors. There was rumor also that it was going to Mexico or something and neither are true."

Comingsoon has now confirmed that Philips comments were merely a case of misdirection and the production will take place almost entirely in Thailand, awesome!

No one should be too shocked that a director or studio exec lied about something to do with an upcoming production, it's almost second nature for them. Regardless this sounds awesome already!

Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis are all returning for the sequel due out next summer.

    Teaser Trailer "Faster"

CBS Films has released the teaser trailer for Faster, opening November 24 and starring Dwayne Johnson, Billy Bob Thornton, Carla Gugino, Maggie Grace, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Moon Bloodgood.

Not to be confused with Fast & Furious 5 which also stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Faster actually looks and sounds all kinds of awesome! If you watch this trailer and you don't think holy fuck, fuck yeah! You're broken.

     Here's the synopsis:

A stint in prison usually has one of two effects on a man – it either breaks him down or makes him stronger. For Driver (Dwayne Johnson), a 10-year sentence proved the latter. His strength was not just fueled by time, but also by a hunger to avenge the murder of his brother during the botched bank robbery that led to his own imprisonment. Untouchable on the 'inside,' he made plenty of enemies in prison - men who were counting the days until his release so they could exact their own revenge on the outside. Now, on the day of his release, he is hell-bent on reaping vengeance upon the four men responsible for his brother's murder. With a list of names and addresses in hand, he sprints out of the prison gates and is immediately on his mission.

No regard for witnesses. No finesse to the acts. One down. Check. Within hours of Driver eliminating the first name on the list, two men are on his trail – Cop (Billy Bob Thornton), a veteran police officer just days from retirement, and Killer (Oliver Jackson-Cohen), a young egocentric hitman with a flair for the art of killing. The hunter is now also the hunted.

Without hesitation, Driver methodically continues down his list while the mystery deepens surrounding his brother's murder and who might have tipped off those responsible to their robbery plans. With each killing, Driver finds himself face to face with Cop or Killer and he evades them every time. Killer wants Driver now more than ever – he's finally met a worthy opponent. Thus begins a do or die race to the list's finish with new details in the decade old murder emerging along the way...hinting that Driver's list may be incomplete and his life in further danger.

Batman & Robin join "Arthur Remake"

Earlier this month the Batmobile from Batman Forever was spotted on the set of the comedy remake Arthur. Now it appears that Batman and Robin will also have cameos. Russell Brand and Luis Guzmán are dressed in full Batman and Robin gear on the NewYork set as seen in the pictures below. I don't know yet if this will comedic genius or down right stupid, time will tell.

The new Arthur follows a very rich, happy drunk who is told by his mother that he must marry the wealthy girl of her choosing or else lose his inheritance, just as he meets a poor girl and falls in love.
