    Trailer For The Divide

I don't really care for the work of Xavier Gens and the further this goes on the more it slips into the kind of unpleasent looking movie that is not my kind of thing. Which is a shame because when the futuristic military types show up I thought it was heading somewhere it didn't go, and it stars Michael Biehn and Hawaii Five-0 new girl Lauren German, oh well.

The movie opens in January and you can check the trailer out for yourselfves below.

Nine strangers -- all tenants of a New York high rise apartment --escape a nuclear attack by hiding out in the building's bunker-like basement. Trapped for days underground with no hope for rescue, and only unspeakable horrors awaiting them on the other side of the bunker door, the group begins to descend into madness, each turning on one another with physical and psycho-sexual torment.

As supplies dwindle, and tensions flare, and they grow increasingly unhinged by their close quarters and hopelessness, each act against one another becomes more depraved than the next.

While everyone in the bunker allows themselves to be overcome by desperation and lose their humanity, one survivor holds onto a thin chance for escape even with no promise of salvation on the outside.

Batman On The Batpod Chased By The GCPD!

Austin Mason captured this video of filming on the TDKR set in LA, it shows Batman on his Batpod being chased by the Gotham City Police Department sqaud cars.

Rumour has it this 4 minute chase sequence takes palce just minutes after the end of The Dark Knight and is the opening sequence of The Dark Knight Rises.

    The Batwing (?) Videos!

As hoped diligent Batfans in LA caught the bat vehicles in action last night. The first video of the aerial vehicle being "flown" through the city on wires is by Red Skull from the SuperheroHype message boards.

The lengths Nolan has went to in order to shoot as much in camera as possible is truly awesome, I can't wait to see a full trailer with a shot of this thing in action.

    TDKR Los Angeles Set Pics

It's been a busy day on the TDKR set in LA for Christopher Nolan and his crew, word is they wont stop filming until 5am as well. All the vehicles have been out to play including Bruce Wayne's Lamborghini, and it was on a rig so it looks like it may be involved in the chase they are shooting

Hopefully there will be Batpod and Batwing (or whatever it's called) footage later., but for now the good folks over at the SuperheroHype message boards grabbed these pics.

    Trailer For The Raven

Wow! This one left me stunned. I wasn't sure what to expect but what I see is a stylish, atmospheric thriller with a hint of a period set "Se7en" about it via Apple Trailers.

"In this gritty thriller, Edgar Allan Poe (John Cusack, Being John Malkovich) joins forces with a young Baltimore detective (Luke Evans, Immortals) to hunt down a mad serial killer who's using Poe's own works as the basis in a string of brutal murders. Directed by James McTeigue (V for Vendetta, Ninja Assassin), the film also stars Alice Eve (Sex and the City 2), Brendan Gleeson (In Bruges) and Oliver Jackson-Cohen (Faster). When a mother and daughter are found brutally murdered in 19th century Baltimore, Detective Emmett Fields (Luke Evans) makes a startling discovery: the crime resembles a fictional murder described in gory detail in the local newspaper--part of a collection of stories penned by struggling writer and social pariah Edgar Allan Poe. But even as Poe is questioned by police, another grisly murder occurs, also inspired by a popular Poe story. Realizing a serial killer is on the loose using Poe's writings as the backdrop for his bloody rampage, Fields enlists the author's help in stopping the attacks. But when it appears someone close to Poe may become the murderer's next victim, the stakes become even higher and the inventor of the detective story calls on his own powers of deduction to try to solve the case before it's too late."

    Young Adult Trailer

"Thank You for Smoking", "Juno" and "Up in the Air" - Jason Reitman hasn't let me down yet and here he is reteaming with "Juno" scribe Diablo Cody. However I see none of the breezy charm of the three afore-mentioned films in this trailer.

Coming Soon via iTunes got the trailer:

Paramount has released the trailer for director Jason Reitman and writer Diablo Cody's Young Adult opening December 9 and starring Charlize Theron, Patton Oswalt, Patrick Wilson and Elizabeth Reaser.

Theron plays Mavis Gary, a writer of teen literature who returns to her small hometown to relive her glory days and attempt to reclaim her happily married high school sweetheart (Wilson). When returning home proves more difficult than she thought, Mavis forms an unusual bond with a former classmate (Oswalt) who hasn't quite gotten over high school, either.

    Shame Teaser Poster

The reason the J. Edgar posters were only the second blandest posters I have seen this year is because I stumbled across this one as I was about to submit that article. I mean really? is there a competition to create the shittiest, dullest poster possible going on and I am not aware of it?

Apparently this film has lots of graphic sex and is directed by an indie darling who shares his name with screen legend Steve McQueen. Honestly if you want graphic sex go watch some porn.

The Hollywood Reporter got the scoopage.

I am very pleased to be able offer readers of this blog an exclusive first look at the teaser one-sheet for Shame, Steve McQueen's controversial new drama about a sex addict (Michael Fassbender) and his sister (Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan) that premiered at Venice -- where Fassbender was named best actor -- and played Telluride and Toronto in September, was acquired soon thereafter by Fox Searchlight, and will be released theatrically on December 2. The poster will be on display for the first time tomorrow night at the New York Film Festival's gala red carpet screening of the film.

Many who caught Shame on the festival circuit, including yours truly, found it to be very impressive, but doubted if it would ever see the light of day -- or, I should say, dark of a public theater. Why? Because it includes numerous scenes depicting full frontal nudity (including from Fassbender and Mulligan) and sexual activity (of a number of varieties), none of which can really be "edited around" since they pop up throughout the entire film and are integral to its plot. This meant that any studio interested in distributing the film would have to accept the fact that it will receive an NC-17 rating from the MPAA, which inherently limits the number of theaters in which it can be screened and publications in which it can be promoted.

Nevertheless, Searchlight decided to take a chance on it, presumably because they think that Fassbender and Mulligan's gutsy performances might register with the Academy's acting branch (which has been known to reward risky and risque work every so often, such Michelle Williams' in Blue Valentine last year). And, indeed, if any studio can turn Shame into an event movie and/or awards contender, it's Searchlight, which has pulled more than a few rabbits out of hats in recent awards seasons, and, based on the release date for Shame, is still digging for another.

    Two J. Edgar Posters

Comingsoon.net debuted these via Warner Brothers and despite being a fan of both Eastwood and DiCaprio, these are the second blandest posters I have seen this year,  just terrible.

    New Tower Heist Trailer

Comingsoon.net got this via iTunes, and yes it looks as awful as it did in the first trailer, no, maybe not quite as awful, but still not worth wasting the old hard earned on, and I still ask the question, "Why Casey why?"
