    Another Real Steel Clip!

The movie is getting very positive early reviews and here is another fun scene. You know when you order an item and it looks great and the price is reasonable, then it arrives and something if slightly off? well that's this scene.

I really like the chemistry in the scenes I've seen so far between Jackman, Lilly and the kid, and this scene with the three of them in together plays well, check it out below and the movie when it opens on  October 7th.

    Kristen Stewart Becomes A Knight!

Ok I'm not sure if that is strictly true but in that armour she looks like Aragorn in ROTK if Aragorn was a pasty, thin young girl. Kristen Stewart is actually a good young actress as her indie work has shown, but she gets a lot of stick because of Twilight, a franchise that as many people hate as love, and because she is awkwardly nervy in interviews. This project is another potential blockbuster franchise and hopefully will do better critically for her than the often panned Twilight.

Of the two Snow White movies currently being made this one "Snow White and The Huntsman" seems far the more interesting to me, with Chris 'Thor' Hemsworth as The Hunstman training Snow White so she can fend off the evil Queen played by Charlize Theron.

    War horse Poster

It's been a while since the master Steven Spielberg bestowed a movie on us and suddenly he has two coming out in the final quarter of this year, it's like that old cliche about buses.

One is Tintin which my interest is 50/50 for and the other is War horse, which looks to be a classic bit of sentimental Spielberg with stunning cinematography. Truthfully I'm more interested in his 2013 offering Robopocalypse but for now War Horse shall do when it's released this Christmas.

EW got the scoop on the poster.

    Clip From Butter

This little indie flick starring Jennifer Garner, Hugh Jackman, Olivia Wilde, Ashley Greene and and comedy god Ty 'Phil Dunphy Burrell has been on my radar for a while now but has waited ages for a release.

Today SuperheroHype! via The Weinstein Company put a clip on line, the clip features an hilarious speech by Jennifer Garner's character.

Ambitious Laura Pickler (Jennifer Garner) is the self-anointed First Lady of Butter Carving. Refusing to accept that her husband (Ty Burrell) wants to step down after his 15-year run as the "Iowa State Butter Carving Champion," and therefore end the Pickler family's reign in the spotlight, Laura takes a stab at the title herself. But her bid for glory is complicated when two unlikely contestants enter the race – one, her husband's hard-living mistress (Olivia Wilde), and the other a 10-year-old foster child named Destiny (Yara Shahidi). Enlisting the help of her high school sweetheart, Boyd (Hugh Jackman), Laura will stop at nothing to be crowned champion, even if it means resorting to sabotage.

More Set Pics From TDKR In LA!

If you are like me and you still love to see real stunts and practical work in action films, then you are going to love these pics.

We've seen the new Bat vehicle in action with a dummy in the cockpit, driven fast on a rig. Well here we have Christian Bale himself as Batman sitting in the cockpit for some close up shots as it's moved on a  different rig.

Now I am not sure if this is a separate cockpit they have made or if the cockpit from the full vehicle detaches and can be attached onto a different rig, either way it's awesome to see.

Also captured on set was a pic of Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway having a friendly moment in-between takes, while in full costume.

7 Clips And An Early Screening Impression Of Real Steel

Steve 'Frosty' Weintraub  over at Collider has posted up 7 clips (in 1 vid) and his impression of Real Steel. I'm personally really looking forward to the movie and the impressions below mirror the vibe I get from the footage I've seen.

With director Shawn Levy’s Real Steel getting released October 7th, DreamWorks has sent over seven clips.  Produced by Steven Spielberg  and starring Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lilly, Anthony Mackie, Kevin Durand, Hope Davis, and Dakota Goyo, the film is set in near future when robot-boxing has become the most popular sport in the world.  The pic centers on Charlie (Jackman) a former boxer who is attempting to mentor/program a robot to the top of the android-boxing ranks along with his estranged son.

I got to see a screening a few days ago and have to say…the movie is pretty great and the effects are incredible.  It definitely has the Spielberg magic and I think a lot of fathers and sons are going to really enjoy it.  Also, Levy does a great job with the material and I really think this is his ticket into fandom’s hearts.  Trust me, after this opens, you’re going to see a lot of people talking about Levy in a new light.   It won’t surprise me when people start mentioning his name on some high profile projects.

    Catwoman vs Talia Showdown!

I'm not actually sure where this pic initially came from but I got it from the SHH boards. It shows Catwoman on the Batpod in front ot Talia, who is at the wheel of the monstrous HEMTT.

It's all part of a huge chase sequence being shot in LA right now, and most believe it will be edited together with the huge Tumbler vs new Bat vehicle chase footage shot in Pittsburgh to form one giant, epic action sequence!

Nolan's Catwoman IS Julie Newmar Influenced?

"Where are her ears" cried the fanboys when the first Catwoman pic was revealed. It was bad enough there was no cowl but the lack of enough feline symbolism enraged certain sections of the fandom.

Many other fans pointed out a similarity with the Julie Newmar version from the 60's TV show, and those with a keen eye noted the LED goggles seemed to be covering a domino mask, so when flipped up they'd create ears.

Well Just Jared has nabbed these pics from filming today on the TDKR set in LA, and it looks like the theories have been confirmed. Does that mean no cowl at all? not definitely, but it does appear that Nolan has drawn his influence from the most unlikely of sources for his version of Catwoman, as most would have expected Jim Lee's now iconic design to be the basis, including yours truly.

........Oh, and Batman was on set as well!

AND someone over at Nolanfans.com grabbed a video, below is said video and a description of what you are seeing given the spy-like way it's shot.

Leaked video from showing Batman and Catwoman in action following the chase and crashing of the HEMTT. Gordon *may* also appear in this shot. Batman walks to the HEMTT and hooks the winch from the batwing to something in the back of the smoking HEMTT while Catwoman watches, dunno how she got there in her stilettos. Batman and Catwoman hug before he gets back in the batwing and lifts off to fly away with whatever was in the back of Bane's truck.

    Chuck Season 5 Official Promo

After years of clinging on and sitting on the bubble the final season of Chuck will be upon us soon (Friday, October 21st Premiere), and I think the show is ready to end it's run, it's been a lot of fun but they've done all they can with it.

For this final season our heroes open a freelance spy company 'Carmichael Industries' , Morgan has the intersect, Sarah has a new hairdo and Luke Skywalker guest stars. Hopefully the writers give the show the send off it deserves.

José Padilha Wants Michael Fassbender As Robocop

I thought this project was on the shelf when Aronofsy left it but now there is talk of shooting in the fitst quarter of 2012 and if they can get Fassbender on board in the lead role this could be something cool.

    Bleeding Cool got the scoop.

Michael Fassbender is truly the man of the moment, attacking ambitious pictures of all genres, from Shame to Prometheus, X-Men: First Class to The Dangerous Method. And he’s consistently good in these movies too, making smart choices and bringing more than his sheer charisma to the screen.

So, really, it’s no surprise at all that Robocop reboot director José Padilha wants Fassbender to take a look at the lead role. He’d be mad not to.

Appearing on Brazillian TV channel Globo 1 to discuss the selection of his film Elite Squad 2: The Enemy Within as the country’s official nomination for Oscar consideration, Padhila also talked a little about his Robocop plans.

A team of Little Bleeders tell us that Padilha said something like this:

I’ll film Robocop. I’m indeed writing the script, the writer is here with me in Rio, we’ve spent over the last 15 days working together, refining the script.

I’ll be travelling this friday back to LA, bringing this new version to discuss with the studio, and maybe begin with the casting, selecting actors… and the idea is to begin filming in February – February or March. That’s the idea, y’know, we never know in the american movie industry. We’re just delivering the project, but also we depend on the schedule of the actors… it’s tough.

I can’t talk yet, it’s too early to speak, but there are some actors I like. I really like the Fassbender, I’d like to talk to him — I’ll talk to him. There’s a possibility… and there’s a lot of other great actors that would play Robocop. But that’s the idea, to film around January, February, March.

Padilha also confirmed that the film would be set in Detroit, as in Paul Verhoeven’s original.
