International Poster For "The Green Hornet"

We've recently heard that "The Green Hornet" is "testing" well. The little boxes that are being checked on those cute little pieces of paper are being checked in a positive manner which has the studio already talking about a sequel. Pump the brakes guys. You know how many films have tested well the past decade or so that ended up falling on their faces?

I'm not saying this movie is a dud waiting to get worse, but let's not get ahead of ourselves and start sipping champagne. Remember when Kerry was way ahead of Bush in those "exit polls" during the 2004 election. How did that turn out? Enjoy the new international poster from the movie while you ponder that.

New "Scream 4" Image, Blonde Ambition?

I am not sure about the rest of you freaks and geeks, but I wasn't impressed in the least with the first teaser for "Scream 4". It's really difficult to mess up a trailer but somehow whoever "they" is, managed to. During that shit show of a trailer there was a quick cut of Kristen Bell and Anna Paquin being all blonde and concerned on a couch while watching tv. You can see the photo below and decide if it looks like a still from the opening scene for "How Deep Can You Go: Part 11" or a pivotal scene in a horror flick.

    TMT's Turkey Day Top 3: 2010 Edition

The year has changed but the Turkey Day Top 3 has stayed the same. No Thanksgiving film has been able to unseed any of our top 3 Thanksgiving Day films. So enjoy your turkey and cranberry sauce and our picks for best Thanksgiving Day flicks.

I must admit, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It combines all the things I love and places them on one neat little day. There is lots of food, not just any food, but the food I love. Artery clogging, belly busting, man food. Pounds of greasy turkey, mounds of mashed potatoes, thick globs of gravy. It's a feast. Combine that smorgasbord with three NFL football games. Bone crunching hits, crowd pleasing cheerleaders, last second field goals. America's game. Your surrounded by family and friends. You laugh a little. Talk about old times and ponder what the future my hold. It really seems like they created this holiday for men. All of that aside, Thanksgiving does have a small selection of must see Thanksgiving day films to help you stay awake after engulfing a heaping plate of stuffing. Sure the library isn't as extensive as say Christmas, but here are my top three. Enjoy.

    "Apollo 18" Poster

With the recent discovery of Russian film footage that suggests that America’s Apollo 18 space mission actually did occur, despite being canceled by President Nixon in the early 1970s, The Weinstein Company (TWC) announced today that it has acquired the rights to a provocative new film project, titled Apollo 18. To be directed by Trevor Cawood from a screenplay by Brian Miller, the documentary-style sci-fi thriller will be produced by Russian filmmaker Timur Behmambetov (Wanted, 9, The Darkest Hour) and Michele Wolkoff, president of development for Bekmambetov Projects, Ltd. Production has been fast-tracked to begin in December, with a wide release planned for March 4.

A quintessential Cold War story, Apollo 18 casts light on the covert and undocumented lunar mission that officially “never happened.” Bekmambetov, hired by Russia to shoot a documentary about the Russian space station, recently came across footage in its space archives that bolsters the idea that an Apollo 18 mission did, in fact, take place, and reveals startling evidence of extraterrestrial life forms. This actual footage will be part of Apollo 18, a paranormal thriller that will interpolate fact and fiction.

Screenwriter Brian Miller came to the project after winning the inaugural Astana International Action Film Festival screenplay competition in Kazakhstan, founded by Bekmambetov.

“We first became aware of Timur after his 2004 film Night Watch,” stated Harvey Weinstein. “Recently he came to us with this never-before-seen footage, apparently of the Apollo 18 space mission, and, as filmmakers, we were absolutely compelled to bring it to the screen for audiences to judge for themselves.”

"The Kids Are All Right" DVD Release Party

“One critic described THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT as ‘overflowing with love’.  I love that description, how it captures the emotional authenticity and feeling of the film. And I think that truthfulness along with the extraordinary quality of the filmmaking and acting and the fact the movie is highly entertaining make it a must own Blu-ray this holiday season.”  - David Brooks, President Worldwide Marketing, Focus Features

The Kids Are All Right is a “generous, nearly note-perfect portrait of a modern family” (Manohla Dargis, The New York Times).  Directed by Lisa Cholodenko (Laurel Canyon) from an original screenplay that she wrote with Stuart Blumberg (Keeping the Faith), The Kids Are All Right stars Academy Award® nominees Annette Bening (American Beauty) and Julianne Moore (Boogie Nights).  Nic (Bening) and Jules (Moore) are a suburban couple raising their two teens, Joni (Mia Wasikowska, Alice in Wonderland) and Laser (Josh Hutcherson, Journey to the Center of the Earth), in Southern California.  But when the kids track down their “donor dad” Paul (Mark Ruffalo, Shutter Island), an unexpected new chapter begins for everyone as family ties are defined, re-defined and then re-re-defined.

Acclaimed as “funny, smart and sexy” (Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly), the Focus Features release The Kids Are All Right debuts on Blu-RayTM, DVD, Digital Download and On-Demand on November 16, 2010 from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.  Prepare to fall in love with the big-hearted hit comedy that critics are calling “one of the best films of the year” (Michael Phillips, At the Movies).

    Denis Leary To Captain "Spider-Man"

The interesting casting for "Spider-Man Starts" is getting even more interesting. According to the eye scorchers over at Heat Vision, Boston area's own Denis Leary is set to play the role of Captain Stacy in the upcoming reboot. The Captain is the father of Gwen Stacy who Emma Stone's funny ass will be playing.

Nobody is really sure how involved Leary's character will be in the script. That is because the script is somewhere in the bowels of Hollywood and Marc Webb has the key surgically stitched into his abdomen. There are some self-proclaimed insiders on minor league forums who would like you to think they read it, but they're blowing smoke.

Speaking of smoke, funny that Leary is going from a firefighter to a cop. What a gentleman. Can we expect a Lenny Clarke cameo?
