Blake Lively Good? "Green Lantern" Terrible?

An article over at Vulture indicates that the sultry Blake Lively might have taken a risk by collecting a pay check to appear in the upcoming Summer blockbuster "Green Lantern".

Vulture was able to pull some quotes from a manager and an agent whom both seemed to be really high on Blake but not so high on "Green Lantern".

Says the manager, "Whatever the mistakes were with Green Lantern, she needs to not react to them and do an indie movie just because a big superhero movie didn't work. It's always about the role and the director. The hotter the person, the easier it is, and she's very hot right now."

The agent adds, "Even though Green Lantern is supposed to be terrible, it doesn’t mean it’s not going to do extremely well and enhance her foreign value. Clash of the Titans was horrendous, but it didn’t slow down Sam Worthington any."

I'm not going to take what a mysterious agent or not to be named manager says to heart and start freaking out about a movie being "terrible", I'll go to the theater and see it for myself. The fact that agent mentions "Clash of the Titans" not slowing Worthington down should be a red flag to anybody. Sam Worthington has been in "Avatar", "Terminator: Salvation", and "Clash Of The Titans" and the general public still has no idea who he is.

I expect "Green Lantern" to make money, I expect Blake to do well in it, and I expect a sequel and her career to take off because of it. However, lets not crown her as the next Julia Roberts quite yet.

    New "Hangover II" Image

I honestly never thought they would make a "Hangover II" but here I am writing up a post about it. I'm sure that this flick will be well received and will make some dough but it is hard to imagine the success fo the first one. What the hell do I know. Enjoy a picture featuring Zach Galifianakis looking a lot like Paul Giamatti circa the Golden Globes last night.

    Golden Globe Winners

I thought the Globes were pretty damn entertaining for the first time in a long time. Ricky Gervais was fighting his little big man syndrome the entire night but he definitely hit more times than he missed. Although due to his overzealous vulgarity, not sure if he'll be back again. If not, De Niro should take over. He was on point during his acceptance of the Cecil B. Demille award.

I mean, on what show can you see Spider-Man, Batman, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and Emma Frost all in one room? Even Peggy Bundy made an appearance, looking slender and brining it in an mind blowing gown. She won an award for her efforts.

    Captain America Goes Full Costume

Wow. Two heroes suited up in one day. It's like a fanboys wet dream. After getting the first reveal of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man earlier today we get the first shot of Chris Evans as Captain America in full garb. The photo comes courtesy of this weeks Entertainment Weekly scanned in by ComicBookMovie. They put in the effort so they get the credit.

This is pretty much what I expected and what I hoped for. Suit looks great and Evans is Captain America. Looking forward to the hi rez version of it. Since I consider myself more of a DC guy, it's amazing that I am actually looking forward to this movie. You could say it is one of my highly anticipated flicks of 2011. Go figure.

    French "Thor" Poster

I'm going to go see this movie, and I am sure most of my geek brethren are going to pay the $7 -$10 and see it as well. The general public? I'm not so sure they are going to travel from near and far to see a guy wielding a giant hammer, but let's hope I'm wrong.

CloneWeb has the new French Poster for Thor. O'lala.

    New "Priest" Trailer

A western-fused post-apocalyptic thriller, the film is set in an alternate world -- one ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church. When his niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on an obsessive quest to find her before they turn her into one of them. He is joined on his crusade by his niece's boyfriend, a trigger-fingered young wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess who possesses otherworldly fighting skills.

Steve Johnson To Release Making Of Hulk & Superman DVDs

UPDATE: Looks like the animatronic version of Hulk had nothing to do with Ang Lee's movie. The animatronic version of Hulk was actually being tested for the Jonathan Hensleigh version which would mean it was back in 1997. Thanks to TMT reader Antonello Blueberry for pointing this out.

Not to long ago Steve Johnson started releasing photos and video featuring some of the work he had done prepping Tim Burton's never released Superman Lives project.

Now Johson has released a video of an animatronic version of The Incredible Hulk from his time on Ang Lee's "Hulk" flick that was released in 2003. Lee originally was hoping to use the animatronic version of Hulk but ultimately went with the CGI version we all know and hate instead.

Check out the video below courtesty of Worst Previews. Also interesting to note, Steve Johson's company EonEntertainment (Scroll Right) is planning to release all the juicy behind the scenes footage from his time on Ang's version of Hulk in addition to his work on "Superman Lives". Can I preorder this now!

Amanda Seyfried & Justin Timberlake - "Now" Set Photos

Photos from "Now" have made their way on like courtesy of EyePrime. You can enjoy yourself some Justin Timberlake running with a gingered up Amanda Seyfried if your heart desires. Click the above link for different angles of running and yelling.

Welcome to a world where time has become the ultimate currency. You stop aging at 25, but there's a catch: you're genetically-engineered to live only one more year, unless you can buy your way out of it. The rich "earn" decades at a time (remaining at age 25), becoming essentially immortal, while the rest beg, borrow or steal enough hours to make it through the day. When a man from the wrong side of the tracks is falsely accused of murder, he is forced to go on the run with a beautiful hostage. Living minute to minute, the duo's love becomes a powerful tool in their war against the system.

TV Networks Bitch Slap Wonder Woman

While her male counterparts fly and glide their way to piles of box office money it doesn't appear that anybody wants to take Princess Diana to the Fish Under The Sea Dance.

EW is reporting that all the big time television networks have passed on David E. Kelley's proposed Wonder Woman tv show. NBC was the final hope for Kelley's much talked about script which is a modern update on the Amazonian Princesses mythology.

Despite the serious blows to the project these rejections have caused, the powers that be are still holding out hope for the project, just not sure where they can really bring this project at this point.

We were told previously that Time Warner was hoping to get Wonder Woman and/or Supergirl the screen, big or small. I'm wondering if the attention will now be turned to a Supergirl television series?
