Daniel Day-Lewis To Drink Superman's Milkshake

Earlier in the evening Heat Vision broke the news that Viggo Mortensen was a "person of interest" for the upcoming Superman flick that I have decided I am going to call "Superman Starts". It was either that or "The Adventures Of Superman". The roll that Mortensen is supposedly up for is none other than Mr. Planet Houston himself, Zod.

Our friends over at Moviehole, after reporting said news and rightfully taking a jab at the Zod redux idea, revealed another contender. According to them, Daniel Day-Lewis is also being considered for a role in "Superman Starts" and they have come to the conclusion that it is General Zod.

I have to agree with Moviehole here. This doesn't sound all that original, granted it is all in the delivery. Didn't "Superman Returns" essentially remake "Superman: The Movie" while at the same time, act as a vague sequel? Is "Superman Starts" aiming at the same thing, just wearing a different costume? Hard to tell at this stage, because we have so little info, but if it walks like Ursa and smells like Zod...

"Yes, There Will Be A 24 Movie" Says Sutherland

I don't know what to think about this news. We've heard the rumors for years and now they are starting up again courtesy of Jack Bauer himself. A "24" movie. About a month ago the idea that a film going forward based on the ground breaking popular TV show were squashed by the Fox brass. However, Kiefer claims otherwise with a simple sentence while being interviewed on "Good Morning America".

"Yes, there will be a 24 movie."

Of course the perky Kelly & the lame duck that is Regis decided to approach the same subject on "Live With Regis and Kelly

"We hopefully will start next January and I think Tony Scott is one of the directors that has expressed great interest in doing it and he would be fantastic, so I'm very excited about that."

I loved the show. Even the video game was good. I hope to high heavens they aren't really going to make a film though. They came so close to jumping the shark on the show many a time and just barely avoided it. The movie even happening would wipe that out. 24 episodes, 1 hour each, equals one day. The formula worked. Remember what happened when New Coke came out? Nope.

Tom Hardy Talks Playing Bane In "Dark Knight Rises"

You almost feel like when you hear some news on "Dark Knight Rises", that it can't possibly be true. That's only because The Brothers Nolan are so secretive when it comes to the bat. However this news is actually live and can't be disputed. See below for the video via Batman-News.Com.

Tom Hardy appeared on the Alan Carr: Chatty Man talk show this evening and talked about Bane and The Dark Knight Rises for the first time publicly. Hardy explained that he has three months to put on about 30 pounds of muscle, which will bring him up to about 200. He confirmed that he starts shooting in May, but wouldn’t say for sure if he’d be wearing a mask. Check out the video and see the brief Batman discussion for yourself.

I wasn't sure about using the character of Bane, but hearing Hardy talk about it pumps me up a little. 30 pounds of muscle? This guy is bringing it and I am sure Nolan will bring it in this 3rd installment. From the sounds of it Hardy might actually break Bale's back when they are out to dinner after shooting.

New "The Hobbit" Set Photos

I'm still trying to figure out how the powers that be behind this movie still believe they are going to hit that December 2012 release date. Seems like a tall tale with an 18 month shoot ahead of them, but what do I know. I'm just kind of a writer.

The folks over at TheOneRing have some new production photos from the set of the Hobbit located in Miramar, New Zealand.

Here is some more in depth info on what the location may be that Latino Review dug up:

Moria is the name given to the underground city, mines, and tunnels underneath the central Misty Mountains. It was a thriving Dwarvish community that excavated mithril. As for The Lonely Mountain, it was the dwarven stronghold with large amounts of gold and treasure—which attracted Smaug, the dragon, to the mountain.

2nd "Transformers 3" TV Spot

The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009's Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There's new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime Transformers character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth."

Cavill Looks Super On The Cover Of EW

This weeks Cover Of EW features the new Superman himself Henry Cavill looking like a hero in a leather jacket with the Superman \S/ peaking out on a washed out t-shirt. You can't say the guy doesn't look the part of a modern day Superman. Not a doubt in my mind we are going to be witnessing a totally different version of Superman on screen. You put Welling, Routh, & Reeve in the same room and you can tell they're trying out for the same part. Not this guy.

All this talk about script problems and issues with Snyder, stop it. This movie is happening with Snyder at the helm and Cavill with a cape on. No amount of attempts at bad press is going to halt that. The Brothers Nolan and The Brothers Warner are like the giant rolling boulder chasing down the competition, you can out run it but you can't stop it. See you December 2012.

Cavill On Putting On The Suit During The Screen Test

All I could think was: Oh, god. They’re going to look at me and go ‘He’s not Superman. Not a chance.’ The actor inside me was going: You’re not ready! You’re not ready!”

Snyder On Seeing Cavill In The Test Suit

“Other actors put that suit on, and it’s a joke, even if they’re great actors. Henry put it on, and he exuded this kind of crazy-calm confidence that just made me go ‘Wow.’ Okay: This was Superman.’”

"Breaking Dawn's" Isle Esme Photo

I have to admit, I have never seen any of the "Twilight" films. I probably will one day, but I'm not rushing out to buy it. No offense to the films, I can't really comment in a negative or positive manner, but I'm not really the target audience.

Short story long, here is a shot from "Breaking Dawn". Looks like a postcard, but I guess it is where Bella and Edward bang it out on their honeymoon. Sweet.
