Unidentified Not Yet Flying Object On "The Dark Knight Rises" Set

There were rumors swirling that Batman would take to the skies in the 3rd installment of Nolan's Batman franchise, "The Dark Knight Rises". Said rumors usually involved some version of the Batwing and you know that it wouldn't be some crazy design Burton used. No. The Brothers Warner are reserving that for the sequel to "Arthur", where Russell Brand takes flying lessons and then flies the Batwing to Fantasy Island. The plane, the plane. Oh the horror.

One Ross Petrocelli tweeted a very interesting picture that looks like a Tumbler opening wide on an overpass in the Pittsburgh area. Now this could be a Nolanized version of the Batwing straight from the bowels of Lucious Fox's mind, or it could be something else all together. Bane and his cronies all seemed to have Tumblers, Norman Swartzkoff Editions. We've seen several of them on set, it seems you can now buy these in Gotham like you can buy a Honda. Maybe this new vehicle is Batman's sleeker faster version of the Tumbler. Like going from a Hummer to a Prius.
