View The Right Side Of Superman's Body

More Superman pictures from the set of "Man Of Steel" have been made available from the mysterious ZonCom showing a little bit more of what looks like a very dark blue suit. There is a man who is holding up a black blanket trying to obscure the rest of the suit, but he's only doing a half-assed job at it. You wonder if he is payed to strictly walk around and try to shroud Cavill in mystery?

The reaction on the forums and websites is typical with the majority "lovin teh suitz". I find it ironic that there were so many complaints about the dark of the red on the "Superman Returns" suit while this suit is closing in on midnight blueish but it is ok. We haven't even received a full look at the suit yet to determine if this thing is actually good or not good in my opinion. Again, looks like no trunks, some kind of gold belt or sash though. Hard to tell to be honest.

My question is how is this dude Gregory Zonsius allowed to just snap pictures at will so close to the set? It's not like I mind, the guy is doing a bang up job getting these shots, so kudos to him. Just curious if he has some kind of deal with the studio. These shots seem to be a bit too convenient. Check out his site for a ton more pictures and buy some from the guy, he's trying to make a living.

Directed by Matthew Parkhill from a script by Sergio Casci, the story concerns a troubled divorcee, Mary Kee (played by Lefevre, who replaced the late Brittany Murphy during production). She moves into a new apartment, where she comes across an old telephone that she falls in love with; however, when she hooks it up, she begins to receive strange calls from a mysterious woman named Rose (DRAG ME TO HELL’s Lorna Raver). The two eventually establish an unlikely friendship, but when Rose claims to be calling from the past, Mary grows suspicious of her new friend. As Rose’s phone calls grow more disturbing, Mary cuts off contact with Rose, who threatens terrible revenge—not just on the Mary of the present, but Mary as a child in the past… THE CALLER also stars two other vampire veterans, TRUE BLOOD’s Stephen Moyer and INNOCENT BLOOD’s Luis Guzmán.

    "We Were Here" Trailer

WE WERE HERE is the first documentary to take a deep and reflective look back at the impact of the AIDS epidemic in San Francisco when it was first identified 30 years ago this year. It explores how the City’s inhabitants were affected by, and responded to the calamitous epidemic.  Reaching beyond San Francisco and the human toll of AIDS itself, it inspirationally speaks to the human capacity of individuals to rise to the occasion, and to the incredible collective power of a community coming together with love, compassion, and determination.

WE WERE HERE is directed by David Weissman and Bill Weber, whose 2001 acclaimed documentary, THE COCKETTES, chronicled San Francisco’s legendary theater troupe of hippies and drag queens from 1969 – 1972.  WE WERE HERE revisits the city a decade later, as its flourishing gay community is hit with an unimaginable disaster.

    "Limelight" Trailer

iTunes has the officail trailer for "Limelight". Enjoy.

As the owner of legendary hotspots like Limelight, Tunnel, Palladium, and Club USA, Peter Gatien was the undisputed king of the 1980s New York City club scene. The eye-patch-sporting Ontario native built and oversaw a Manhattan empire that counted tens of thousands of patrons per night in its peak years, acting as a conduit for a culture that, for many, defined the image of an era in New York. Then years of legal battles and police pressure spearheaded by Mayor Giuliani's determined crackdown on nightlife in the mid-'90s led to Gatien's eventual deportation to Canada, and the shuttering of his glitzy kingdom.

Featuring insider interviews with famous players in the club scene as well as key informants in Gatien's high-profile trial, Billy Corben's (Cocaine Cowboys) exuberant documentary aims to set the record straight about Gatien's life as it charts his rise and fall against the transformation of New York, offering a wild ride through a now-closed chapter in the history of the city's nightlife.

I Hate Thinking Too: The Not So New "Man Of Steel" Synopsis

    \

The Brothers Warner in partnership with DC Entertainment and Legendary Pictures have thrown out a call to arms aka an open casting call on Vancouver Island. This is an extras only casting call, not speaking roles, in both Naniamo and Ucluelet. Fully paid.

The funny thing is that eleventeen websites are running the synopsis that goes with this casting call as "the official synopsis" as if they've never seen it before. It was posted five months ago on a site called MovieNewz that everybody laughed at because they used a "z" in their title instead of an "s". I'm sure a number of websites covered it back in April, but have erased it from their minds as if they've been kissed by Clark Kent himself.

Interestingly enough, the synopsis they posted back in April turns out to be spot on. Not sure where they got it, maybe Production Weekly, but win one for the little guy I guess. Another interesting tidbit, Snyder actually used the first line you are seeing in this synopsis in the press release put out when Henry Cavill was cast. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

“In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.”

Here is the rest of the casting call from SuperManHomePage. This part is actually new, unlike the synopsis.
