Nintendo Rethinking Name Of Next Gen Console

Like many other humans it took me a long time to acquire the Wii system after it's launch. I remember staking out Best Buy's and other electronic stores along with my significant other manning the phones like Janine in the Ghostbusters hoping for a system. When I finally was able to get my Nintendo thumbed hands on one I enjoyed the shit out of it. I still find myself humming the theme song from Mario Kart.

Cut to now, my Wii is collecting dust next to my TV. It doesn't play Blu-ray films like my PS3, nor does it have the suped up graphics of an X-Box 360. Who doesn't want to see the sweat dripping off Tom Brady's brow? The powers that be from Nintendo are trying to change this lack of versitility with their new next-gen system which has been given the name Wii U. According to CVG via GameRant (Fantastic site from the people that brought you ScreenRant) the powers that be are rethinking thee name of the console.

“Serious discussions are ongoing at the highest level in the US and Japan as to whether the firm should cut its losses and give the console a different name.”

I wonder what sort of names they have been tossing around the game room over at Nintendo. Something like "Synergy" or "Pangea" would be interesting. Any ideas?
