Unstoppable Trailer

A /Film reader was kind enough to send them the first trailer for Tony Scott's "Unstoppable" starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pine, the film is loosely based on true events and is a story of two men, an experienced engineer (Denzel) and a young conductor (Pine), who race against time in their locomotive to cut off an unmanned freight train loaded with toxic chemicals that if not stopped will crash into a town.

I have to say despite being a fan of all involved I was not interested in this when it was announced as these kinds of stories tend to be a bit dry and dull, however the trailer has piqued my interest, the drama looks intense and the action parts of the race to stop the freight train look spectacular, the signs of Denzel and Pine striking up a good onscreen team are a big plus.

"Unstoppable" opens November 12th and you can check out the trailer below.

Thomas Lennon Talks Harold & Kumar 3

The third installment in the Harold & Kumar franchise titled A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas 3D is currently filming in Michigan for a now confirmed holiday 2011 release date. Collider was lucky enough to sit down with one of the new cast members joining the franchise. Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!) revealed the release date confirmation as well as a ton of other awesome plot details.

In reference to the use of 3D in the film which is a rare occurrence in comedies Lennon gave great explanations:

"I hope they make people sign some kind of waiver because if their mind explodes from my acting in 3D, it’s not my fault. Never has there been a comedy where so many bongs and boners and boobs get pointed out right into your face.

"This is a film that is begging to be in 3D. In fact, if it weren’t in 3D, I wonder if it would be getting made at all, but certain …you know this was a movie that was just waiting for the technology to catch up."

"I think when people Harold and Kumar in 3D it’s going to be a full visceral experience not unlike seeing Avatar with a bunch of dudes smoking pot and some naked nuns taking a shower, which is what I believe they’re filming today. In fact I know for a fact that’s what they’re filming today because I happen to not be on-set today and it’s kind of a bummer."

He also described the new character he'll be playing in the film. He's Harolds new best friend and refers to his character as the anti-Kumar. If you're not aware already the film takes place six years later when Harold and Kumar are no longer friends. He also added:

"he is a douchey, uptight white person which is something that I really truly excel at on my resume. Douchey, vaguely kind of creepy, uptight honky."

"The film begins and I am the new Kumar. And I think the intention is that the audience be wildly disappointed that Harold’s new best friend is me."

Confirming a bit of somewhat obvious news he also confirmed there would be an extreme amount of pot and nudity, as expected.

"I think I can say that…without there being too many spoiler alerts, there’s a tremendous amount of pot in the movie and a lot of nudity. And I’m a part of some of it, yes."

Well with everything we already knew and now with the reassuring info from Lennon this sounds all kinds of awesome. Not that I expected anything less of this franchise. For the full interview go HERE.

First Trailer "Jack Ass 3D"

Those stupid bastards are back at it again, and this time in 3D! Everyone from the Jackass crew has returned for Jack Ass 3D. From the trailer this looks like the most ridiculous and likely hilarious installment yet. I can only imagine how the port-a-potty sling shot turns out, especially in 3D.

Look for the Jackasses to be flying at you in 3D on October 15.

From the films official site.......never have I seen such a hilarious, inadvertently inappropriate poster, the mind boggles at how this one cleared quality control.

Eva Mendes On "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"

Last night on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Eva Mendes spoke about her mom sending her regular “Mom’s review” emails to give specific feedback about her various red carpet outfits from around the world.

“My mom is constructively critical,” said Eva.

Eva confirmed that her mom emails her a fashion review from head to toe, which Eva shares with her team.

“Do they go nuts when your mom send you something?” Jimmy asked.

“They love it! Because I only read them the good parts,” Eva laughingly revealed.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader - Trailer 2

I read "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" as a kid and I recall owning the 2 follow up novels however I can't remember whether I read them, if I did they didn't have the impact the first book had on my young self.

The movie version of Wardrobe was a hit and fairly well received across the board, however the follow up "Prince Caspian" was a bit of a dud, many believing the main reason for this was a summer release date, so for the 3rd installment "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" they are going back to a Christmas release and there is a new trailer.

Now I'm not an expert on the novels so I couldn't tell you how faithful of an adaption it looks, but nothing about the trailer makes me want to see it or sells the story, the effects in particular look very poor even with a few months of post left.

"The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" is released in 2D and 3D cinemas on December 10th and you can see the trailer below.

Butter - first look

I love a satirical comedy and this one has been getting decent early buzz, it certainly has a great and varied cast with Hugh Jackman, Jen Garner, Ty Burrell and Olivia Wilde.

ET were on set to talk to the cast, so while there isn't a lot of in this vid it gives you a good insight into the tone of the film and the characters that inhabit this butter carving world.

One thing is for sure fellas, even if the movie doesn't appeal to you and your girlfriend/wife drags you to see it because of Hugh, there are plenty of fine ladies in it to compensate.

Will Ferrell Joining Spanish Speaking Comedy

According to a press release from NALA Films via comingsoon Comedian and actor Will Ferrell is being extorted or blackmailed depending on who you ask into starring in a Spanish speaking comedy. When I first read the statement it sounded like a joke, and then I read the statement from producer Gary Sanchez. I don't know the extent of the lawsuit or their history together, but Sanchez sounds like a real asshole.

Opening this Friday you can see Will in The Other Guys, a comedy he wasn't forced into doing.

Below is the actual Press Release:

Emilio Diez Barroso and Darlene Caamano Loquet of NALA Films announced that they are teaming up with Will Farrell, Adam McKay, Kevin Messick and Jessica Elbaum of Gary Sanchez Productions to produce the Spanish-language comedy, Casa De Mi Padre ("House of My Father"), starring Will Ferrell. NALA Films is fully financing the project which is set to start shooting this September in California

Will Ferrell's participation in the project is not entirely based on his connection with the material. Rather, he was embroiled in a pending lawsuit against Gary Sanchez. Ferrell's participation is part of a closed-door settlement between both parties. Further details were not disclosed.

Gary Sanchez issued the following statement regarding the resolution with Ferrell, "What comes around, goes around, Will Ferrell."

According to producer Darlene Caamano Loquet, "NALA can't comment regarding the circumstances surrounding why Will is attached to the project. We are just thrilled he is on board and are moving full steam ahead since we have one month to teach him Spanish."

Lancelot is a "Man at Arms"

In any film I've seen involving the ancient adventures of King Arthur and Camelot - whether it be First Knight or King Arthur, I was always more interested in the character of Lancelot and wondered why he'd never been given a solo film.  Fortunately, it seems that's about to become a reality.

Heat Vision is reporting Echo Lake has purchased the medieval action script, Man at Arms, written by Jeremy Lott.  While the story is apparently being kept under wraps it is said to involve the adventures of Lancelot following the break up of Camelot.

No word yet on who wil direct but Echo Lake is said to be looking for a director who can give the film a unique visual style.  My suggestion? Nimrod Antal.  After seeing Predators, the man proved he can direct solid action sequences with a moderate budget, which this film will probably have.

As for Lancelot...Joseph Fiennes.  Yeah, think about it.

Adams and Mortensen going "On the Road"

TOLDJA! is reporting that Amy Adams and Viggo Mortensen have joined the Francis Ford Coppola-produced and Walter Salles-directed, On the Road.  The film - also starring Sam Riley, Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst, and Garret Hedlund - is an adaptation of the classic Jack Kerouac novel involving a series of cross country trips taken by writer Sal Paradise (Riley).

In the picture, Mortensen will play the character of Old Bull Lee while Adams will play his junkie wife, Jane, of two kids.  The actors are said to be shooting their scenes later this month as filming reportedly began today.

Jose Rivera (The Motorcycle Diaries) wrote the script while Rebecca Yeldham is also producing with Coppola.

More on this story as it comes.
