"Footloose" Trailer

In the remake of the 1984 film, Ren MacCormack (played by newcomer Kenny Wormald) is transplanted from Boston to the small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a heavy dose of culture shock. A few years prior, the community was rocked by a tragic accident that killed five teenagers after a night out and Bomont's local councilmen and the beloved Reverend Shaw Moore (Dennis Quaid) responded by implementing ordinances that prohibit loud music and dancing. Not one to bow to the status quo, Ren challenges the ban, revitalizing the town and falling in love with the minister's troubled daughter Ariel (Julianne Hough) in the process.

"Puss In Boots" Goes Viral

"Shrek 4" as I am now calling it because I am lazy at the moment, made big bank but still didn't live up to the monetary level of the previous films. Puss In Boots didn't seem to have much of a role as the series moved forward, but DreamWorks decided not to listen to me and is making a spin off anyway.

I personally love the character and will be in line to see this popcorn in hand, but I'm not sure how it will click with the general public. Let's find out. Check out the viral video below from DreamWorks featuring the sassy feline.

Two New "Contagion" TV Spots

Two more tv spots for "Contagion". Solid ensemble cast and a premise that could possibly become a reality at any time, anywhere.

"Contagion" follows the rapid progress of a lethal airborne virus that kills within days. As the fast-moving epidemic grows, the worldwide medical community races to find a cure and control the panic that spreads faster than the virus itself. At the same time, ordinary people struggle to survive in a society coming apart.

If you hadn't yet caught the previous two tv spots, they are below for your viewing pleasure. The whole scenario in this movie scares the shit out of me. I'm also partial to this film due to the fact I read this script really early on when it was just picked up by the studio. Can't wait to check it out.

More Videos Of The New Bat Vehicle In Action

The streets of Pittsburgh were in for a treat today when Chris Nolan's crew filmed the amazing new Bat vehicle in a chase sequence, Comingsoon.Net has 3 vids and there are 2 more, one especially close up, from Pittsburgh ninja extraordinaire .

There has been a lot of of speculation about how this thing will look onscreen as most believe there will be CGI touch-ups added in post. The rig pulling it along suggests it will hover just off the ground rather than fly, and you can see fan-intakes in the struts on either side of the cockpit, other reports suggests it is a helicopter and propellers will be added in post.

One thing I love about this is they built it just like the Hovercars in the new Total Recall, rather just going all out CGI, I think that choice will pay dividends in the finished product.

What Will New 'Terminator' Film Be Called?

If you didn't catch the story yesterday, Fast Five director Justin Lin gave an interview with The Playlist regarding upcoming projects of his, including Fast Six and, of course, the new Terminator film he is working on with Arnold Schwarzenegger attached to star.

Lin reveals in the interview that he recently sat down to have a meeting with both Schwarzenegger and James Cameron, together!  Here's what he had to say:

‘Terminator’ is something I’ve been having a lot of fun with,” Lin told us in an interview to support forthcoming video release of “Fast Five.” “Just even this week, I had a great meeting with Arnold and James Cameron, just sitting down unofficially. And James is so gracious because he’s not part of the project, he’s not going to be producing, but it was great of him just as a filmmaker to take time out to just talk.”

While we have no idea what to expect from Lin regarding the next Terminator film, if you read the interview in full, the guy seems to have his head in the right place, unlike certain other filmmakers *cough* McG *cough*.  Not to mention, the franchise rights are now owned by Megan Ellison's Annapurna Films, an independent film company who are most certainly going to give Lin all the creative control he wants on the project, unlike the past two installments which were studio controlled.

But with this all said, it's probably intriguing to wonder what this new Terminator film wil be called.  At this point, we know Lin wants to bring the story and tone back to the first two films (R-rated please), and completely disregard the 3rd and 4th entries.  Along with this, give the franchise a new life in terms of longevity (a la the Fast & Furious franchise).

So what will the next film be called?  Mind you this is pure speculation and is not a definite the film will be called this when it's released in 2015 at the earliest (Lin's doing Fast Six first for a 2013 release).  Ready though?  Here it is:

Terminator

No The.  Short, sweet, and to the point.

Video Of the New Bat Vehicle

Last night Pete posted the first spy pic of the new Bat vehicle, believed to be capable (in the film) of flying and hovering.

Today Mark Duffy posted video footage of the vehicle arriving at the Wabash Tunnel and you can get a really good look at it. Make your own mind up on the design aesthetic influences for it outside of the obvious Tumbler style plating. It seems as if it will be operated by rigs similar to the Hovercar's in Total Recall.

First Images Of Leonardo DiCaprio as J. Edgar Hoover

There hasn't been a lot released regarding Clint Eastwood's biopic of J. Edgar Hoover, simply titled J. Edgar, but Entertainment Weekly as the first official images from the movie of DiCaprio in the titular role.

The film opens on limited release November 9th and goes Nationwide on November 11th. No doubt both director and lead actor will be eyeing more Oscar nominations.

Exclusive: WB Quietly Developing Batman/Superman Movie

As recently as last March, Warner Brothers head-kahuna Jeff Robinov told Hero Complex they were getting the ball rolling on Justice League for 2013 and a post-Christopher Nolan Batman movie of some kind with Nolan and his wife Emma Thomas playing a hand as producers, a la their participation on The Man of Steel. Since Zack Snyder's Superman reboot got pushed back from Christmas 2012 to Summer 2013, don't count on seeing Justice League two years from now and no telling how soon we'd see the first Bats flick following Nolan's swan-song The Dark Knight Rises.

Sources tell TMT WB is keen on getting a Justice League movie going and still high on The Flash despite Green Lantern being neither the critical or commercial success they'd hoped for nor was it embraced by fans. But the studio is also quietly developing a Batman/Superman team-up movie.

Similar to Justice League, the Brothers Warner has wanted to get their two biggest superheroes on the same screen together for years. The closest it came to fruition was Batman vs. Superman with Wolfgang Peterson-directing from a script by Andrew Kevin Walker. That fell apart as we all know, but executives loved that script.

In a classic case of covering your ass, what we're hearing is two separate incarnations are being tooled. One version where the World's Greatest Detective is firmly established and helps mentor an up-and-coming, fresh-faced Supes and vice versa. Essentially, they're hoping they can woo Christian Bale back into the cape-and-cowl for a fourth time and in case the Oscar-winner tells them, "No thanks, I'm done!", they'll go for a new actor altogether. Both versions would feature Henry Cavill's Last Son of Krypton.

Are these plans definite? No, as we mentioned earlier WB, by their own admission, is back into the Justice League mind-set in addition to The Flash, another iteration of Batman, a hypothetical The Man of Steel sequel (Of course, that depends on how the first movie does plus any outcome to the Shuster/Siegel court-cases), etc.

A lot of this is due to their non-definitive plans after 2013. Unlike Marvel who has their shit in order so much so they just announced two "mystery" movies for Summer 2014. So God only knows what we'll end up seeing from them after The Man of Steel.
