"Friends With Kids" Clip

Friends With Kids is a daring and poignant ensemble comedy about a close-knit circle of friends at that moment in life when children arrive and everything changes. The last two singles in the group observe the effect that kids have had on their friends' relationships and wonder if there’s a better way.  They decide to have a kid together - and date other people.

There are big laughs and unexpected emotional truths as this unconventional 'experiment' leads everyone in the group to question the nature of friendship, family and, finally, true love.

Friends With Kids stars Adam Scott ("Parks and Recreation"), Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Chris O'Dowd, Megan Fox and Edward Burns. Written and directed by Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein). Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions will release Friends With Kids on March 9, 2012.

"Bernie Trailer"

In the tiny, rural town of Carthage, TX, assistant funeral director Bernie Tiede was one of the town’s most beloved residents.  He taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Everyone loved and appreciated Bernie, so it came as no surprise when he befriended Marjorie Nugent, an affluent widow who was as well known for her sour attitude as her fortune. Bernie frequently traveled with Marjorie and even managed her banking affairs. Marjorie quickly became fully dependant on Bernie and his generosity and Bernie struggled to meet her increasing demands. Bernie continued to handle her affairs, and the townspeople went months without seeing Marjorie. The people of Carthage were shocked when it was reported that Marjorie Nugent had been dead for some time, and Bernie Tiede was being charged with the murder.

In this dark comedy, director Richard Linklater captures all the hilarity, friendliness, eccentricity and absolute strangeness of small-town Texas life.  Jack Black plays Bernie Tiede, Shirley MacLaine plays Mrs. Nugent, and Matthew McConaughey plays the town’s blustery real-life District Attorney, Danny Buck Davidson, who was determined to get to the bottom of the crime.  Co-written by Linklater and Skip Hollandsworth, BERNIE is a Mandalay Vision and Wind Dancer Films production.

Sci-Fi Short 'Archetype' To Be Developed Into A Feature Film

The last few years have seen a decent resurgance for sci-fi and news today via Heat Vison continues that trend with the pick up of a short that is being eyed for feature development. The story of course has echoes of how District 9 came about.

The details and short are below, I definitely recommend cheacking the short out, it's only 7 minutes and shows some concept art at the end that depicts where this could go under a feature film budget.

John Davis, riding high off of the surprise success of the super-powered found-footage movie Chronicle, is going back to the world of robots.

The producer, who has a first-look deal at Fox and who produced 2004’s I, Robot, has picked up the rights to Archetype, a sci-fi short directed by  Aaron Sims, with plans on developing it into a feature. David dipped into his discretionary fund in order to make the acquisition.

Sims runs the Aaron Sims Co., a firm that specializes in previs and visual effects with credits including War Horse, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and The Thing remake. He acted as a concept artist and did creature design work for Stan Winston Studio, working on A.I. and War of the Worlds, among other movies. He began his career with Rick Baker, working in special effects and make-up on movies such as Gremlins 2, Batman Forever and Mighty Joe Young

The Archetype short tells the story of an eight-foot tall combat robot named RL7 that malfunctions during a mission, developing unexplained memories, causing its creators to investigate its odd behaviour.

The short ends with concept paintings detailing the robot on the run  while being chased by various metallic constructs.

Sims is attached to make his feature directorial debut on the feature. Newcomers Guy Busick and Ryan Murphy (not the one of Glee fame) are attached to pen the script.

See Superman & Lois Lane Sweat on The Man of Steel Set!

Nuke the Fridge (You remember they're the guys who got the early word on how fat Russell Crowe would look as fat Jor-El) got this picture of Superman Henry Cavill and Lois Lane Amy Adams on the Edwards Air Force Base set of The Man of Steel.

So much for psycho Facebook accounts or sites who can't spell Comic Book "debunking" their info from last week because Adams supposedly wasn't there, huh?

Lucas & Spielberg Want (More of) Your Money; Indiana Jones Blu-Ray Set Coming

This fall, "Adventure" and "Shameless Format Whoring" have a brand-new name: Indiana Jones. Paramount Pictures and Lucasfilm have announced all four films will be released in The Complete Indiana Jones Blu-Ray Collection:

"The man with the hat is back – and looking better than ever! The world’s favorite globe-trotting archaeologist is, at long last, embarking on his greatest adventure – when 'The Complete Indiana Jones Blu-ray Collection' comes to Blu-ray Disc from Lucasfilm Ltd. and Paramount Home Media Distribution. The Complete Indiana Jones Blu-ray Collection will be excavated in the fall of 2012 and will include all four of Indy’s thrilling adventures, using the highest possible high definition picture and audio presentation – along with a 'best of' collection of documentaries, interviews, featurettes and a few new surprises."

The picture and sound will be up to date quality and that's great (Both Phil and Robert have lectured me about how much I need to buy a Blu-Ray player ASAP). But my wallet isn't exactly overflowing with Benjamins and "a few new surprises" better translate to something really worth my, and that of average Joes, money, like a Spielberg/Lucas/Ford commentary track (Which will never happen, sadly) or deleted scenes.

Raiders of the Lost Ark remains one of my top-five favorite films, and the one of the reasons I fell in love with movies as a little kid. As a matter of fact, it won't be too long till I introduce my nephew (Age 21 months) to it.

"Neighborhood Watch" Poster & Trailer

Suburban dads form a neighborhood watch group to get time away from their families, only to discover a plot to destroy Earth.

You had me at hello. I was sold on this when I heard about it and after seeing the trailer I'm buying it all over again. I like the fact that you can tell there is more than meets the eye happening here and they are doing what a teaser should, teasing.

Please Leave Bill Murray Alone; He's NOT Doing Ghostbusters 3

Long held the stance that we at TMT won't cover anything Ghostbusters 3 related if the source is straight outta Dan Aykroyd. The man has had a tendency to regurgitate the same information about Bill Murray mulling over the script, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (or "The Office writers" as he's referred to them) and everyone being totally psyched to wear the proton-packs again. Followed by everyone online dashing to their laptops, or cell-phones sadly, to bang out articles and pretending, or maybe forgetting, Aykroyd has said all this crap before.

Knock on wood, his reign of non-news terror is over... oh am I kidding until another two months from now. Nonetheless, this he hasn't said before. Hence my wasting time covering it before you, the good reader, right now.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Aykroyd confirms legendary holdout Murray has definitively told him to take a hike on his Ghostbusters 3 participation calling it a "surety." Yeah... it's been that for awhile. Since the last decade of him always looking bored, if not a tad annoyed, at always fielding the "Will you do Ghostbusters 3?" question.

It's for the best, Mr. Aykroyd. None of you guys exactly need the money, at this point in your lives. Except Ernie Hudson.

Some "New" Photos Of Heath Ledger From TDK?

Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker in The Dark Knight is second to none...when it comes to comic book films. Every villian after that in a super hero flick, kind of minor league by comparison.

It seems a site that I've never heard of has some behind the scenes photos of Heath Ledger with his Joker face pasted on. I have no idea if these are actually new. They are new to me, so I'm going to post them. If that is incorrect, let me know and I will do some editing.
