    New The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Images to Shrug Over

    It’s about time we get another The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug trailer to shrug at. I don't mean to poo-poo over the shameless, money-whoring trilogy but that's what it is. And the thought of a dragon voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch doesn't stir my nerd loins. I saw that closing shot of the trailer and blankly reacted, "Oh so that's Smaug, huh? What's for dinner?"

    Coming Soon noticed some just-released cover art for forthcoming Visual Companion books including Smaug's eyeball (Ohhh... ahhh?) and another look at Luke Evans as Bard the Bowman and Evangeline Lilly as Tauriel. Just one more year of this crap and we can all go back to addressing only The Lord of the Rings trilogy and how Return of the King had too many endings like most nerds.
