Jeff Nathanson Penning "Pirates of the Caribbean 5"

It looks like Disney has decided to print even more money. It isn't enough for The House Of Mouse that they have their hand in The Avengers and Star Wars cookie jar, they are planning on yet another installment of Pirates Of The Caribbean 5. The studio has hired Jeff Nathanson to write the script with Jerry Jerry Bruckheimer set to produce and Johnny Depp back as Captain Jack Sparrow.

The last installment, Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides grossed over $1 Billion worldwide but just $241 million domestic, the least domestically out of the four films. It shows the North American audiences are growing a bit tired of Jack Sparrow and the pirates universe.

Makes you wonder what happened to the Terry Rossio script that was turned into Disney in May of 2011. Is Nathanson starting from scratch or is he using the Rossio draft as a foundation?
