The Amazing Spider-Man Clips Swing Its Way Online
Mon, April 2, 2012 Cross promotional tie-ins have their little rewards. Case in point: Kellogg is starting up a new deal pimping The Amazing Spider-Man.
Long story short, get some special codes off select Kellogg products and your smart-phone to see early clips. This being the Internet, someone has already done the deed and posted said (brief) scenes online, courtesy of Super Hero Hype:
Spidey, the wise-ass (Not a new concept onscreen if you look back at the 2002 originating film) and whatever that Subway scene is. Again echoing memories of Sam Raimi (The "He's just a kid!" scene in Spider-Man 2 comes to mind).
Heard very troubling things on Marc Webb's reboot but I can't judge it based on these clips, especially the first since Garfield looks like he will be superior to Tobey Maguire in the one-liners department.

Spider-Man made a few one liners in the original film yeah. But he was never a wise ass, which is fine for that version. And the public would never really care about these things but the FANS would and are optimistic. What's wrong with that? You clearly love Sam Raimi's first two Spider-Man films and that's fine so do I. But stop trash talking this reboot. Stop being bias. The first two movies are pretty good movies. But it is nice for this version for him to actually be a wise ass. I don't know why you can't admit the flaws in the first two movies and look at the POTENTIAL this reboot has. Yeah some things Raimi knocked out of the park and I love his films but maybe, just maybe, this reboot might be (gasp) a little better than the original.
...or...it won't be better than the original despite how bad you want it to be. It works both ways. It could be completely awful. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder though, but as we all know, box office talks. I don't think there is any way in hell this film makes as much as any of the Raimi films domestically. Not even close. So that shows you that this film isn't as good, or the general public is sick of the character...or both.
@Dr.Loomis, dude I don't really care if this film is better than Sam Raimi's original. I'm just saying it COULD be. It just needs to be a good movie period, that's what matters. But judging from the acting I've seen in the trailer and clips released so far it already looks better lol. The acting in Sam Raimi's films, for the most part, wasn't as good as some would like it to be, despite how bad you want it to be. The acting in his films were fine I guess for the tone they were going for. Now will this film have its flaws? Probably, but so far, for me at least, I don't see any. And no I don't think this film will make as much as Sam Raim's films. I'm optimistic and open minded, but not delusional. Considering that each movie made less money domestically I'd say that American audiences at least don't really care THAT MUCH for Spider-Man as we might think. We'll see I suppose. Either way I'm just glad we're getting another Spider-Man film period.
Sorry guys not really trying to start trouble here or rant LOL. I just think that some are being a bit too bias and close minded. But I understand why so don't get me wrong. A reboot honestly wasn't really necessary, not looking at it from a fan point of view. More sequels that were much better than 3 could and should have been made. So no hard feelings I hope.
@Rob Don't worry Jamie has been trashing The Amazing Spider-Man every chance he gets. I got nothing else to say to him about it until the movie comes out.
