George Harrison: Living In The Material World Trailer
Tue, August 23, 2011 Although he was often referred to as the "quiet Beatle," George Harrison was by no means quiet on talent. A brilliant guitarist whose songs Something, Here Comes the Sun, and While My Guitar Gently Weeps are among some of The Beatles most classic hits (and whose hilarious scene in A Hard Day's Night has made the phrase "I'd be quite prepared for that eventuality" part of my permanent vocabulary), Harrison's long career also included a successful solo career after The Beatles, as well as some truly amazing humanitarian work.
Directed by Martin Scorsese, George Harrison: Living in the Material World is a two-part documentary set to air on HBO on October 5th and 6th that will chronicle the life and work of the famous Beatle. The film will include interviews with Harrison's wife Olivia and their son Dhani, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, Eric Idle, Yoko Ono, as well as his former bandmates, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.
