Lois Lane Hearts Stuffed French Toast

You'd think having an American icon like Superman (being played by the British Henry Cavill) would be big enough to get better chains than iHop to show up in The Man of Steel. Just imagine a scene where upon after punching Antje Traue, Cavill stops for a moment to enjoy a nice, cold Coca-Cola or eats a Big-Mac for the energy he needs to kick Michael Shannon's Zod in the balls.

In what's basically a cute little article from TribLocal (That's been mysteriously pulled) on a local and his 15 minutes of fame as a background extra comes a tiny revelation. Amy Adams has already reported on set for the Superman reboot, and filmed a sequence where she's dining at the local Smallville iHop.

Didn't occur to me that the Daily Planet reporter might step foot on Supes' home-turf.

Here are some exerpts from the now defunct article courtesy of Waubonsie Valley High School student & iHop employee turned actor for a day Ahmed Helmy.

On How He Scored The Part:

“Most of my friends knew about the movie already and some even tried out. I was at work when they came in and just asked me if I’d play myself as a waiter.”

    On Filming His Scene:

“Well I was surprised that it was kinda’ tiring waiting around so much outside the restaurant while they got the scene just perfect, but once we started filming it was cool."

    On Amy Adams:

“I think I’ll be in the film because I walk past her table a couple of times; I’m in the background.

    On Zack Snyder:

“He’s a really cool and funny guy. He knows how to get the shot just perfect. I could tell because he would shout cut only after a few minutes."
