    Jurassic Park Game Delayed

It is just not a good week to be a video game fan.  First, the PSN Network shuts down after falling victim to a hacker.  Now, some disappointing news from Telltale Games:  the upcoming Jurassic Park game, originally set for release this month, has been delayed until the fall.

According to the statement on Telltale's official website, the delay is simply to improve upon what they believe is already an excellent game:

Jurassic Park: The Game, our upcoming title based on the groundbreaking film of the same name, is looking to go a step further with new game mechanics and a sense of terror that is paramount to the Jurassic Park franchise. We see a ton of potential in the game's exciting mechanics and style and feel we can take what we already have in place to an even more thrilling level, so we've decided to continue work on the game and launch the PC/Mac version of Jurassic Park: The Game to coincide with the our multiplatform release in fall 2011.

I'm definitely liking that whole "sense of terror" part of the game description.

While disappointing, it looks like Telltale will be making it up for fans in the meantime.  Refunds will be issued to anyone who already pre-ordered the game, and they will also receive a voucher for a free game.  The free game voucher can be used for Jurassic Park when it's finally released.

Hopefully it will be worth the wait.  Judging from the preview video below, it looks like it will be.
