Immortals Footage Takes Us Back to the Year 2007

The trailer was expected to drop tomorrow, but E! News broadcast the honest-to-God first look at Immortals, the overly-stylized fantasy action epic set for release this November. If you missed said broadcast and can't find their preview on YouTube anymore (since Relativity Media yanked it - a sign of confidence indeed!), E! Online now has the entire trailer for your viewing.
As we all know, its director and leading man (Tarsem Singh and Henry Cavill) are already on to bigger and better endeavors for 2012 (directing The Brothers Grimm: Snow White and being the new Superman). But they'll have to answer for this first and I already have a feeling their participation in those projects, especially Cavill for obvious reasons, will overshadow Immortals during its forthcoming press rounds. Opening the week before The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part I won't help either.
None the less, take a look at the footage and you tell me with a straight face this doesn't look like a 300 clone.

300 clone in the same why superhero movies look like clones of each other (especially over at marvel)
this looks to be telling the story of a different character and with the actual involvement of gods. The actors are great, the director has visual flare( cough marvel) and it genuinely looks good.
...like 300 did.
Looks visually pleasing but I already saw 300 & Clash Of The Titans.
Is that Cavill flying around the trailer with a red cape? How long before somebody manipulates that into a Superman trailer teaser?
Good stuff as per usual, thanks. I do hope this kind of thing gets more exposure. woghkc woghkc - supra skytop.
