Kate Beckinsale Up for That Total Recall Remake None of You Care About

Len Wiseman didn't have to look too terribly far for one of the two female leads for his Total Recall remake.
"TOLDJA" says Kate Beckinsale (aka Mrs. Wiseman) got the offer for Lori, the double-agent covering as the protagonist's "wife" – played by Sharon Stone in the '90 Paul Verhoeven/Arnold Schwarzenegger classic. This time out the memory-troubled lead is played by Colin Farrell and nobody will be getting their ass to mars this time around. Yeah, it sounds stupid to me too.
No word on if and/or when she accepts or declines. But one assumes the couple will talk about on their way home from dropping the kids off at school.

This is idiotic. They should be remaking "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" instead of "Total Recall." Total Recall was different in tone from We Can Remember...so why not do another take on We Can Remember -- one more true to Dick's original short story (which is more slyly comic)? To just remake a movie that was perfect to begin with is idiotically stupid and pointless and uninspired.
