The House From "Up" Really Exists!

As I have mentioned many a time during my articles, I am a sucker for those CG Animated features. I love every one of them big or small. "UP" is one of my favorites out of the plethora of them which have dropped in theaters, a movie featuring a house floating with the help of a large number of balloons. How can you beat that. Apparently National Geographic can, because they did it for real.

An episode of the upcoming new Fall show titled "How Hard Can It Be" will explore whether or not it is actually possible to use balloons to propel a house into the stratosphere. From the photos, it is! On March 5th a group featuring two balloon pilots, scientists, and engineers used 300 8' weather balloons in a myriad of colors to force a 16 x 16 inch house into the sky.
