New "Cars 2" Trailer
Tue, March 8, 2011 Cars has always been the whipping boy of Pixar's thus-far perfect stream of box office hits, but let's face it: the kids love it. In fact, I like Cars too. Yes, it was predictable as hell, but it was sweet and funny, the animation was beautiful and I loved the soundtrack. Seriously, if Cars is Pixar's "worst," I'll take that any day over most of the animated crap hitting theaters the rest of the year.
So like it or not, we're getting a Cars 2 this summer. You can check the new trailer below. And as the aunt to a small army of nephews/cousins all under the age of 9, I can already tell they're going to love the hell out of this, which will be worth the price of admission alone. So deal with it, Cars-haters.
Cars 2, along with the new short Toy Story: Hawaiian Vacation, opens in theaters on June 24th.
