G.I. Joe: Retaliation Trailer Continues the "Retardedly Awesome" Trend from Rise of Cobra
Mon, December 12, 2011 For all those fanboys who shit-talked Jon Chu without giving the guy a chance strictly because of his association with Justin Bieber, you may all shut the Hell up. AKA here's the trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation:
Not hard to see why this went over so well at Butt-Numb-A-Thon this weekend, and truthfully if you weren't a fan of the Stephen Sommers-directed first installment G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, this isn't going to do anything to win you over. Even with the bigger names in the cast including Dwayne Johnson, clearly taking over the franchise, and Bruce Willis as the original Joe.
There's a shot where Cobra plants a flag on top of the White House for crying out loud!

You know fanboys fail to realize that its tough to break into the movie industry and people take whatever work they can get if there lucky enough because a job directing a justin bieber movie is better than no job at all.
This looks all kinds of better than the first one.
Amazing how this really is nothing all that different than say a Bay trailer(right down to that base attack) but in the context of "this is more series than the marlon waynes movie" fans will go nuts.
Chu shoots choreography really well and not that he's swinging his camera around Snake eyes and not some pretty dancers let the fan men go nuts.
I thought the first movie was utter rubbish, it didn't even pass muster as a fun summer action film. This looks much better, with cooler action, a feel closer to the source material, higher production values and better designed outfits for the characters.
I agree. I can't believe there is a sequel to GI Joe, although there is also a sequel to Ghost Rider....what the?
