Box Office Predictions May 28 - May 31

There's two new openings this weekend the Sex and The City sequel, and the video game adaption Prince of Persia. Expect Sex and the City to take the weekends top box office followed by Prince of Persia and then last weeks Lukewarm Shrek 4 should come in third.

Leaving the top ten this week will likely be the Nightmare On Elm Street remake, and continuing their longevity is Date Night and How to train your Dragon rounding out the bottom of the list.

1. Sex and the City 2 (New Line/WB) - $62 million

2. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (Disney) - $50 million

3. Shrek Forever After (DreamWorks Animation/Paramount) - $45 million

4. Iron Man 2 (Marvel/Paramount) - $19 million

5. Robin Hood (Universal) - $13.2 million

6. Letters to Juliet (Summit) - $7.1 million

7. Just Wright (Fox Searchlight) - $3 million

8. MacGruber (Universal) - $2.1 million

9. Date Night (20th Century Fox) - $2 million

10. How to Train Your Dragon (DreamWorks Animation/Paramount) - $1.3 million

Check back to TMT on Sunday for the estimates from Jen, and again on Monday for the actual numbers to see how I did.
