Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Trailer

We were just discussing a number of past-their-prime franchises with sequels, prequels and reboots hitting in the next few years on Movie Moan yesterday. With Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, I don't see what else this series has to offer after those last two fucking atrocious follow-ups from 2006 and 2007.

From the looks of the newly released trailer for the fourth installment courtesy of Yahoo! Movies (this time under the direction of Rob Marshall, and in Disney 3D, of course!), it looks like more of the same. Correction: there are mermaids and zombie pirates. That's totally different!

A big fat "Fuck no!" for me, and I'd like to think audiences have wised up too.

I could give two hoots about this. The first film was overrated and I skipped the sequels. This WILL make money, though... unfortunately.

I enjoyed the first two, loathed the third. I will be seeing this and hoping for the best. Just can't help but route for (Captain) Jack Sparrow.

I like all the pirates of the caribbean movies but I'll pass on this one. There is no reason to make this movie besides for money. The last one ended it nicely. Might check it out on dvd.

Not interested. Looks like the same old song just a different title.
