The Mechanic Trailer
Tue, November 16, 2010 The trailer has arrived for the Jason Statham hit-man thriller "The Mechanic," directed by Simon "Con Air" West; it's a remake of an old Charles Bronson movie and judging from the trailer it appears to have taken some liberties with the plot.
What it does look like is a very slick action film that is more streamlined than many of today's CGI heavy fantasy action films, it is also boosted by the fact the talented Ben Foster will be playing Statham's understudy, a role played in the original by the guy who flew the chopper in Airwolf.
It certainly isn't a character study of an assassin by any means but for those missing the kind of straight up action films of the 90's this will tick some boxes.
