Elizabeth Banks Joining Welcome to People

"Want to be a director? Get in line, asshole."
That's what you’d be normally told, unless you happen to be an established screenwriter/producer responsible for a string of popular fare. In this case, we’re talking about Alex Kurtzman and his directorial debut Welcome to People.
The drama/comedy has already attracted the attention of Chris Pine, star of the Kurtzman written Star Trek reboot and its 2012 sequel, who will star as a young man delivering $150,000 to an alcoholic older sister and nephew he was never aware of after his father’s death.
As per Risky Business, the always-reliable Elizabeth Banks will co-star as the sister. After having been wasted in supporting roles for years (Most people know her from The 40 Year Old Virgin, her television ads pimping L'Oreal and in an "Oh, it's that lady!" manner), studios are starting to take notice of her talents.
She has a slew of projects in the foreseeable future – both already shot and waiting for release and others gearing up to start next year. If I had to guess, I'd say it's the Disney film Tink that'll break her out big time.
