The good, the bad and the ugly: 'Mad Men' Parodies

"Mad Men" is one of those shows that lends itself well to parodies. Unfortunately, however, most of the parodies that have been done so far have been incredibly bad.

"Saturday Night Live" did a version when Jon Hamm guest hosted that was not particularly funny. It isn't horrible, but it really is most noteworthy only for the number of actors from the show who played themselves in the sketch.

And now, two parodies of the show from opposite ends of the spectrum.

The first parody, from Casual Mafia, is incredibly bad. It is 3:16 of torture. Good luck getting through it.

The second parody is from an amateur comedy group called The Landline. It captures the show's essence and breaks it down into a roughly 60-second satire. Enjoy.

And, finally, "The Simpsons" didn't parody "Mad Men," but they did pay homage to the show in this ode to the opening credits of "Mad Men":

"Mad Men" airs Sunday Nights at 10 p.m. EST. on A&E. The show, currently in its third season, already has been renewed for a fourth season.
