    "Rampart Trailer" Featuring Woody Harrelson

Officer Dave Brown (Harrelson) is a Vietnam vet and a Rampart Precinct cop, dedicated to doing "the people's dirty work" and asserting his own code of justice, often blurring the lines between right and wrong to maintain his action-hero state of mind. When he gets caught on tape beating a suspect, he finds himself in a personal and emotional downward spiral as the consequences of his past sins and his refusal to change his ways in light of a department-wide corruption scandal seal his fate. Brown internalizes his fear, anguish and paranoia as his world, complete with two ex-wives who are sisters, two daughters, an aging mentor dispensing bad advice, investigators galore, and a series of seemingly random women, starts to unravel. In the end, what is left is a human being stripped of all his pretense, machismo, chauvinism, arrogance, sexism, homophobia, racism, aggression, misanthropy; but is it enough to redeem him as a man?

New Batch Of "The Amazing Spider-Man" Set Photos

Are they still shooting The Amazing Spider-Man? Are these photos from a reshoot? I feel like this film has been shooting since Spider-Man 3 was in theaters. Eduardo Saverin was back in the NYC with Hugh Grant's roomate from Notting Hill for some additional shooting.

Courtesy of The Daily Mail via ComingSoon.Net, we not only get a look at Peter Parker sporting a leather jacket and walking all cool like, but we get a glimpse of an early version of the Spider-Man suit. Looks like a takeoff on the invisible man. A tad cooler than the Sam Raimi wrestling suit version though. Also looks like The Lizard has hand and he's gonna need it.

    "War Horse" Production Photos

From director Steven Spielberg comes “War Horse,” an epic adventure for audiences of all ages. Set against a sweeping canvas of rural England and Europe during the First World War, “War Horse” begins with the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert, who tames and trains him. When they are forcefully parted, the film follows the extraordinary journey of the horse as he moves through the war, changing and inspiring the lives of all those he meets—British cavalry, German soldiers, and a French farmer and his granddaughter—before the story reaches its emotional climax in the heart of No Man’s Land. The First World War is experienced through the journey of this horse—an odyssey of joy and sorrow, passionate friendship and high adventure. “War Horse” is one of the great stories of friendship and war—a successful book, it was turned into a hugely successful international theatrical hit that is arriving on Broadway next year. It now comes to screen in an epic adaptation by one of the great directors in film history.

"Project X" Poster Complete With "Hangover" Reference.

In yet another example of a studio using the success of a previous film to pimp another lesser film, below is the poster for Project X. If you haven't already noticed, Todd Phillips of Hangover fame, yeah his name is on the poster as is Hangover. Is this unusual? No. Is it annoying...to me today. Yes.

For all I know this film could be just as good as Hangover or do better at the box office but isn't there a bigger problem when you can't sell a movie on it's own merits? Sure its a great marketing ploy, emblazing 300 on every Immortals poster and TV spot helped with a more than solid opening weekend for the flick. Is this what we're teaching our young marketing executives? Unoriginality. Way to bring it guys.

You Knew This Was Coming: Rampage Video Game To Become Film

I've thought about this on several occasions while contemplating what unoriginal concept Hollywood was going to rush into production next. Rampage and Ninja Gaiden were two of my top contenders for the jump to film. Kid Icarus was another hopeful on my list as well, but who could take another "Sword & Sandals" epic.

I guess I was sort of on the right track with my random musings because according to The Hollywood Reporter New Line Cinema is pushing the "it came from the 80's" video game Rampage into city mashing motion. Producer John Rickard, most recently of Horrible Bosses, is hoping to harness the visuals of the game. The synopsis of the game is below.

George, Lizzy and Ralph were just ordinary Americans, until an experiment went wrong, turning them into a Gorilla, Lizard and Werewolf respectively. Following this, the three of them plan to go round destroying buildings, and up to three human players can join in.

Smashing at the edges of the buildings for long enough will make them collapse. The police and military are after you, and will shoot at you, so try to destroy them (failing that, you can avoid the bullets). You will need to eat regularly, with things like plants on offer, to avoid shrinking back to being human.

Cloverfield was very well received and King Kong made some bank. Legendary Pictures is trying to get Godzilla off the ground but Goyer recently "departed" the project. It's possible this could make some money and the public might go for three giant monsters wreaking havoc on cities cross the globe. See Planet of the Apes.

    New "The Avengers" Banner

I'm still not sure how The Avengers is going to do at the box office, but we're not that far from finding out. I hear a lot of $400 Million talk which I think is a reach for this film, but I'm not a box office expert, so what the hell do I know? It's like betting on horses, sure you can use past statistics to help you out with your predictions, but once that horse hits the furlong there is no telling what is going to happen.

Captain America and Thor did really healthy numbers, but besides Iron Man, none of these characters broke the bank. It's going to be interesting to see how the film is received amongst the average Joes and Janes. Here is some marketing in the form of a banner. Enjoy.

New Stills From Animated Pixar Film "Brave"

“Brave” is set in the mystical Scottish Highlands, where Merida is the princess of a kingdom ruled by King Fergus (Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Thompson). An unruly daughter and an accomplished archer, Merida (Macdonald) one day defies a sacred custom of the land and inadvertently brings turmoil to the kingdom. In an attempt to set things right, Merida seeks out an eccentric old Wise Woman (Walters) and is granted an ill-fated wish. Also figuring into Merida’s quest – and serving as comic relief – are the kingdom’s three lords: the enormous Lord MacGuffin (McKidd), the surly Lord Macintosh (Ferguson), and the disagreeable Lord Dingwall (Coltrane).
