Details On TDKR Flying Craft Formerly Known As "Batwing"

You know that flying craft we've seen via The Dark Knight Rises set photos and we've been calling "BatWing". We've been wrong. According to Wireless Goodness & FCC via some Hot Wheels toy specs, the name of the vehicle is "The Bat". Granted this could just be the name of the toy and the it's called something totally different in the flick, but we're going with "The Bat". Breaking news over.

I have to admit the set photos I've seen that feature what were previously calling "The Batwing" present the flying craft as being "pretty damn cool". I have been wondering if Team Nolan might be "jumping the shark" a bit by having Batman fly around in a plane. Usually Nolan has a tendency to make such things fit in the world he has created, but there is that little part of me that wonders if it could put a chink in Christopher's armor.

Cast & Producers Of "The Amazing Spider-Man" Talks Plot In Japan

The important part of the cast and producers for The Amazing Spider-Man were in full force at a press conference in Japan talking plot points and characterization in the upcoming Marc Webb film. You can watch the rather long video below or read some of the important quotes from Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Avi Arad, below. Courtesy of your friendly neighborhood website, Coming Soon.

    Avi Arad:

"In our movie, [Peter] finds his true love. Gwen Stacy was always the true love of Peter Parker. We found a very, very good story about what makes a human being. About what sets their destiny."

"We introduce our villain, Dr. Connors and in the great tradition of Marvel, Dr. Connors is going to be connected to Peter Parker and, in our case even more interesting, to Gwen Stacy.

Right there, the challenge of having to deal with a villain who is a mentor and the only one who you can look at and say, 'So what really happened to my dad?' That's a very hard person to fight."

Special footage was screened for the Japanese press which, according to Garfield, emphasized the physical nature of the film's effects.

    Andrew Garfield:

"As you can see, a lot of the stunts are practical and grounded in reality. That was something that Marc, the director, really wanted to make sure happened in this movie to set it apart from previous ones... I would exhaust myself every day and get into near-death experiences every hour on the hour... I collaborated with [the stunt team] not only on the big stunt set-pieces but also on what happens to Peter’s body when he gets bitten. What happens to his DNA and how that effects the way he moves and the way he interacts with objects. The idea that he has spider DNA running in his system. What that will do to his sense of space. What that will do to the sensitivity of his skin. To have an opportunity to play in that forum with creative and talented people was a real opportunity and gift."

Stone reiterated that her take on Stacy will be a complete departure from the version played by Bryce Dallas Howard in Spider-Man 3.

    Emma Stone:

"We haven't even met Mary Jane at this point.

"You don't want to know! You want to watch the movie and find out. Plus, it would be weird if we were like, 'There's something iconic coming up!' You've got to decide if it's iconic or not. But there is a nice first kiss and it's different than the upside down one. And we liked it."

Brandon Routh In The "Crooked Arrows" Trailer

A mixed-blood Native American, Joe Logan, eager to modernize his reservation, must first prove himself to his father, the traditionalist Tribal Chairman, by rediscovering his spirit. He is tasked with coaching the reservation’s high school lacrosse team which competes against the better equipped and better trained players of the elite Prep School League.

Joe inspires the Native American boys and teaches them the true meaning of tribal pride. Ignited by their heritage and believing in their new-found potential, coach and team climb an uphill battle to the state championship finals against their privileged prep school rivals…will they win?

Crooked Arrows is modeled upon the consistently successful underdog sports movie popularized by Mighty Ducks, Bad News Bears, Hoosiers, and Bend It Like Beckham–set in the fresh, contemporary worlds of Native American reservations, prep schools, and lacrosse…

    International "American Pie" Trailer

All the "American Pie" characters we met a little more than a decade ago are returning to East Great Falls for their high-school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they will discover what has changed, who hasn't and that time and distance can't break the bonds of friendship. It was summer 1999 when four small-town Michigan boys began a quest to lose their virginity. In the years that have passed, Jim and Michelle married while Kevin and Vicky said goodbye. Oz and Heather grew apart, but Finch still longs for Stifler's mom. Now these lifelong friends have come home as adults to reminisce about and get inspired by the hormonal teens who launched a comedy legend.

"Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" International 'Memorial' Poster

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is a re-imagining of the 16th President's life that depicts him as an axe-throwing, highly accomplished killer of vampires -- an obsession of his since those bloodsuckers supposedly took the life of his mother. Lincoln eventually learns that the vampires have fled to the southern states of the U.S. and are concocting a plan to conquer and enslave the entire country -- this in turn leads to the Civil War between the Union and the Confederacy, the latter of which the vampires are aligned with.

69TH Annual Golden Globe Award Winners

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s annual Golden Globe Awards have enabled the non-profit organization to donate more than $12 million in the past seventeen years to entertainment-related charities, as well as funding scholarships and other programs for future film and television professionals. In the year 2010 the donation was a record 1.541,000 dollars, the largest tally ever distributed in the organization's history.

Known worldwide for its glittering Golden Globe Awards ceremony held every January and its multi-million dollar donations to charity, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association had humble origins that stemmed solely from a group of journalists' desire to efficiently and accurately cover all aspects of the world of entertainment.

Starz, The Weinstein Co. & Electus Announce Marco Polo Series

"Marco Polo," the legendary pioneer and explorer from the 13th century, will have his tale told in an epic new scripted original series, as announced jointly by Starz, LLC, President and CEO Chris Albrecht, The Weinstein Company's Co-Chairman, Harvey Weinstein, and Electus Chairman and Founder, Ben Silverman.

"Marco Polo" is written and created by John Fusco (Hidalgo, Young Guns, Thunderheart, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron). It will be executive produced by Harvey and Bob Weinstein (The Weinstein Company); Ben Silverman (Electus), as well as Fusco.

"Marco Polo" is Fusco's fantastical martial arts epic, chronicling the famous adventurer's early years in the court of Kublai Khan. Acting as the ruler's spy, ambassador and explorer, Marco treks across the Far East and returns with tales of his journeys. In a court filled with political betrayal and forbidden relationships, Marco must use his martial arts training to survive, but it is his ability to enchant Khan with imaginative tales of his kingdom that is often his best tool to stay alive.

Starz Entertainment will own the exclusive license to the domestic premium pay TV rights and certain digital rights to the series for its flagship STARZ network, while Starz's Anchor Bay arm will distribute the property in the United States in home video. The Weinstein Company and Electus' global distribution arm Electus International control all remaining rights.

Albrecht commented on the latest addition to the Starz Original series lineup that "Marco Polo has captivated imaginations for centuries, and John's script brings this fantastical story to life. In addition to a remarkable story, we share a joint creative vision with our partners at The Weinstein Company and Electus to deliver a larger than life cinematic adventure for audiences in the United States and around the world."

"The stories and adventures of Marco Polo are timeless and we couldn't be more excited to work with Starz and Electus on this project," said Weinstein. "We look forward to beginning production next year on what is sure to be a fascinating, martial-arts filled telling of one of history's greatest explorers."

"We are thrilled to be able to work with an exceptional creative team to tell this amazing story in an updated and unique way," said Ben Silverman, Chairman and Founder of Electus. "Starz has been a tremendous partner in allowing us maximum creative freedom to bring audiences a fresh perspective on history and John Fusco, who lives and breathes this material, is uniquely qualified to bring this story to life."

Weinstein originally developed the idea and brought John Fusco on to write the script. It was then brought to Electus and together they delivered the project to Starz. John Fusco is represented by UTA and Anonymous Content.

At first, Johnny is reluctant to embrace the power of the Ghost Rider, but it is the only way to protect the boy - and possibly rid himself of his curse forever.
