"The Dark Knight Rises" MTV Movie Awards TV Spot

Sitting through the MTV Movie Awards is rough, I have to watch Russell Brand attempt to be funny and listen to music I don't even like or understand. However, I guess a new The Dark Knight Rises TV spot might make it worthwhile. Also, Charlize Theron is pretty damn hot. Even if I hear that Prometheus siren sound from the tv spot every time I picture her now.

    Accident

A self-styled accident choreographer, Brain (Louis Koo, in one of the most compelling performances of his career) is a professional hit man who kills his victims by trapping them in well crafted accidents that look like unfortunate mishaps but are in fact perfectly staged acts of crime. He is perennially plagued with guilt, as the avalanche of memories of his lost wife does not make things any easier.

After one mission inexplicably goes wrong, costing the life of one of his men, Brain becomes convinced that this accident has been choreographed: someone is out there plotting to terminate him and his team. He becomes increasingly paranoid, not knowing whether or not to trust his friends and accomplices.

When he discovers that a mysterious insurance agent named Fong (Richie Jen, Exiled) is somehow related to the last staged accident, Brain becomes obsessed that this man must be the mastermind behind a conspiracy to take him out. To regain his sanity and to save his life, he must stay one step ahead of Fong before he makes his next move. Brain rents an apartment below Fong’s, bugs the rooms, then becomes obsessed with the insurance man’s comings and goings. Eventually reality and delusion blur, culminating in a wickedly twisted ending.

    "The Amazing Spider-Man" Promo Images

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Even More "The Dark Knight Rises" Banners

I heard a lot of cries from forums and comments sections on various websites concerned with the lack of marketing for The Dark Knight Rises, I would imagine they are more than satisfied now. We've been barraged with TV spots, banners, and posters coinciding with The Avengers losing a bit of steam at the box office. It's obvious The Brothers Warner was waiting for the mass hysteria surrounding Iron Man & his crew to subside before really launching into the marketing campaign.

Of course, not everybody is satisfied, now the vocal minority is complaining about the marketing. "Oh that poster isn't good enough." Does it matter? If you film it, they will come. The general public doesn't care if Batman doesn't look "bad ass" enough in a banner. All they care about is being entertained for two plus hours. We all know that is going to happen.

Three More "The Dark Knight Rises" Posters That Jamie "Forgot"

You can't fault Jamie all that much, he does a lot around here. Breaking stories, sometimes turning the air conditioning on when it's hot, ordering in for dinner...it's still effort. However, this is the 2nd time he's blown it today. Doing half the job in half the time. See me in my office tomorrow morning Jamie.

All of that aside we finally get some really solid posters for The Dark Knight Rises, it looks like the heroes and villians will be fighting come rain, sleet, or snow. Check out the winterized versions of the character posters below.

    "The Great Gatsby" Official Poster

Jamie already posted the trailer for The Great Gatsby earlier tonight, thanks to him for that. However he was too lazy to also put the poster up, so I'll have to put it up separately. Thanks for that as well Jamie. I'll deal with you later.

The trailer was confusing and jumbled with modern music blaring in your ear while watching a Dick Tracyesque type visuals destroy your pupils. The poster however, yeah I kind of like it. Has a steam punk meets billionaire's boys club quality to it.

The Great Gatsby follows Fitzgerald-like, would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles.

    "Hyde Park on Hudson" Trailer

In June 1939, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (Murray) and his wife Eleanor (Williams) host the King and Queen of England (West, Colman) for a weekend at the Roosevelt home at Hyde Park on Hudson, in upstate New York – the first-ever visit of a reigning English monarch to America. With Britain facing imminent war with Germany, the Royals are desperately looking to FDR for support. But international affairs must be juggled with the complexities of FDR's domestic establishment, as wife, mother, and mistresses all conspire to make the royal weekend an unforgettable one. Seen through the eyes of Daisy (Laura Linney), Franklin's distant cousin, neighbor, and intimate, the weekend will produce not only a special relationship between two great nations, but, for Daisy – and through her, for us all – a deeper understanding of the mysteries of love and friendship.
