Check out the new poster for upcoming sci-fi movie "Jim" which opens in New York on October 8 and in Los Angeles on October 15.

Being steadily crushed under the weight of debt, unemployment, and increasing isolation, Jim reaches a breaking point. Over a game of solitary Russian roulette he contemplates an unspeakable act of violence as a way of leaving his mark. He is stopped short by a vision of his deceased wife who convinces him that he should instead focus his remaining resources into an act of creation. Armed with his wife's frozen eggs and a new resolve, Jim secures the services of a large biotech firm to help him create an heir who will be engineered to overcome the obstacles of common men.

Meanwhile in the distant future Niskaa, the leader of a group of genetically modified beings, controls a race of worker clones in a super-industrialized, post-human Earth.  As he tries to restore his decrepit empire he comes face to face with a young clone that shows an unprecedented capacity for reason and empathy.  Somehow connected to Jim via dreams, the clone manifests secrets of nature that Niskaa has not accounted for…

Anna Paquin & Kristen Bell In "Scream 4" Cameos

Yes they are still making another "Scream" film and yes the movie is going to feature it's share of cameos. According USA Today's Life Line Live Kristen Bell and Anna Paquin will make an appearance in "Scream 4". The ladies will join "Scream" veterans Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette in Ann Arbor, Michigan for filming.

You might remember the perky Anna Paquin as Rogue in "X-Men" and "X2" or as Sookie on "True Blood". Kristen Bell is best known for her devilish voiceover work on "Gossip Girl" and as the relentless Veronica Mars.

Look I'm sure this flick will make money in it's opening weekend. The question is how will it carry after that? It remains to be seen whether or not the general public will embrace this new installment or treat it like old hat. I am most interested in the direction this will go. Will we witness a more menacing and gory scream, or will they up the camp factor? I will be in the theater to find out, I'm just not sure who is going to be with me.

    Clip From Sci-Film "Jim"

Received a clip (which really is a faux commerical) from the upcoming sci-fi film "Jim", which drops in October. Sounds like a very interesting concept, check out the synpopsis under the clip.

    Paramount's Development Slate Via Email?

Somehow the sleuths over at The Wrap were able to uncover an email straight from the offices of Paramount which reveals all projects in development. Quite a score for fans. As TMT's own Rob Hunter pointed to in a previous article, the slate includes a high concept J.J. Abrams thriller based of the teen kissing game "7 Minutes In Heaven".

When reached for comment by The Wrap, Paramount insisted that the email wasn't a Paramount document but did reveal that "It has some correct information and some inaccurate information." I think the spokesman's last name was Vague.

See below and let me know what you think.

    January Jones Goes "First Class"

The casting orgasm that is "X-Men Origins: The First Class" continues with sultry actress January Jones inking a deal with Fox to play Emma Frost according to The Trades. The internet super-highway were ripe with reports that Alice Eve was all but a lock to take on Frost, but obviously that was just another example of mass interweb hysteria.

Jones is best known for her portrayal of Betty Draper on the television show "Mad Men" but has appeared in "Love Actually", "American Wedding", and "Pirate Radio" on the big screen. She'll be joining James McAvoy and Miechael Fassender among others in the Matthew Vaughn directed superhero jaunt.

I personally have little interest in this flick thus far, maybe my mind will change once I start seeing some pictures or video, but as of now I find myself in "meh" status.
