Gwen Stacy On The Set of Spider-Man Reboot

On Monday, photos surfaced of Emma Stone's new look for her upcoming role as Gwen Stacy in the Marc Webb directed Spider-Man. Based on that first image, she certainly looks the part. A few images from the actual set of the film are now up thanks to Just Jared. It looks pretty obvious she is in attendance for a funeral and first assumption would be that its for Uncle Ben.

It still feels to soon for a reboot of this franchise. I'm sure non-fans will be wondering why Mary Jane is a blonde until they finally realize it's not her and possibly become disinterested in an unfamiliar love interest.

To be fair, all of that remains to be seen. It's hard to make judgements with no real knowledge of the plot other than the characters involved. This installment could take off with audiences and breathe fresh air into the world of Spider-Man.

Adam Sandler & Kevin James To Drive Funny

Sony Pictures Entertainment wants themselves some more of the funny big guy we all know as Kevin James. They've put preliminary pen to paper on a deal for Nick Bakay's "Valet Guys". As reported by TOLDJA! the pitch to Sony deals with a couple of valet guys with some miles to their name that witness a murder at a hotel in South Beach and go on the run.

The project was conceived as a possible movie for the comedic stylings of James and comedic cohort Adam Sandler. Bakay is no stranger to either of the funny men. He was a producer on "King of Queens" and co-wrote both "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" and "Zookeeper". Sandlers production company produced "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" and will produce "Zookeeper". Bakay and James are set to begin writing the script.

James is really making a name for himself as the go to overweight funny man in Hollywood. He is now what Jack Black was back when the general public actually adored him during his "High Fidelity" days. Hopefully James won't fall into the category no actor wants to fall into, those who are over-exposed.

New Poster For "Red State" Released For A Good Cause

Say what you want about the ever so jolly Kevin Smith, but don't say that somewhere inside that beautifully thick body the bearded man doesn't have a heart. The new trailer for "Red State" but with a little help from a generous website donation to a very important cause.

If you’re a movie website or film journalist and you want to feature this poster or use it in a story, don’t be a detail-thin dick.

New Poster & Trailer For "Rio"

Fox has released the poster and trailer for their upcoming animated flick "Rio". I have to say this looks like another fun romp from the makers of "Ice Age". I'll be in line to see this one just like I am for any of these new fangled animated jaunts, not to mention it will be all up in our faces with some mind blowing 3D technology.

Set in the magnificent city of Rio de Janeiro and the lush rainforest of Brazil, Rio centers on Blu, a rare macaw who thinks he is the last of his kind. When Blu discovers there's another — and that she's a she — he leaves the comforts of his cage in small town Minnesota and heads to Rio. But it's far from love at first sight between the domesticated and flight-challenged Blu and the fiercely independent, high-flying female, Jewel. Unexpectedly thrown together, they embark on an adventure of a lifetime, where they learn about friendship, love, courage, and being open to life's many wonders. "Rio" brings together a menagerie of vivid characters, a heart-warming story, colorful backdrops, energizing Latin and contemporary music, and family-friendly song and dance.

Alien Prequels Haven't Been Delayed?

So, after all this talk of the Goddamn Alien prequels, not only are those reports of it being pushed back a year (with signs it could be shitting the bed altogether) wrong. But the movies themselves actually, oh dear Lord, reboot the franchise instead?!?

Vulture reports production on Paradise, yep that's the title, will commence in March. Those delayed reports stemmed from an ill-fated attempt to woo Leonardo DiCaprio into the fold, and waiting till he finished work on Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar. But since that didn't work out, they're back in an early 2011 start.

Ridley Scott is currently hunting down other actors to star. We were already aware of Noomi Rapace up for the lead role (although still uncast), but her character has a name: Elizabeth Shaw.

Also up for roles are Michael Fassbender for the android David (although that appears unlikely as he wanted too much money) and Michelle Yeoh as the "fortysomething, tough-but-sexy" Vickers if Scott gets his way. Most interesting is the character of Engineer 1, to be portrayed by an unspecified 6'5" actor and, in the finished product, will be entirely CG in the vein of Gollum.

Muppets Get a New Release Date

A year from now, we'll have all seen the new Muppet movie (because of course we're all psyched for this movie, right?  Right?!)  According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney has moved the release date for The Muppets Movie from Christmas to Thanksgiving weekend, where they hope it will have the same kind of box office luck of their current Thanksgiving hit, Tangled

Directed by James Bobin from a script by Nicholas Stoller and Jason Segel (who also plays the lead human role), The Muppets Movie is the first big-screen appearance of the Muppets since 1999's Muppets From Space.  Segel stars as the lead human character trying to help the Muppets save their old theater.  As typical of a Muppet movie, the movie has a small army of a cast, including Amy Adams, Ricky Gervais, Emily Blunt, Zack Galfinianakis, Rashida Jones, and Chris Cooper.

The Muppets Movie will now open on November 23, 2011.

Charlize Theron In Talks For Role in Clint's Hoover Biopic

Vulture reports that Oscar winning stunner Charlize Theron is in talks for a role in the Clint Eastwood biopic of J. Edgar Hoover that will be top-lined by Leonardo DiCaprio.

Clint Eastwood’s Hoover biopic continues to vacuum up stars. We hear Oscar winner Charlize Theron has resurfaced and is being offered the part of Helen Gandy, a Justice Department file clerk Hoover selected as his personal secretary at the age of 21, and who wound up working for him for over 54 years.

This is shaping up nicely with Leo in the lead, Charlize Theron about to sign on and the news Jamie is about to bring about Armie Hammer being cast.

It'll be interesting to see how Clint chooses to age and de-age Theron, will he use make up or go the Benjamin Button route?

Orlando Bloom To Return as Legolas In The Hobbit?

The hot rumour from Toldya! is that Orlando Bloom is returning to the role that made him famous! yes he is apparently in the final stage of negotiations to reprise his role as Elf archer Legolas in the long awaited "The Hobbit."

Legolas is not in the actual book but neither is Galadriel and that hasn't stopped Cate Blanchett all but being confirmed as reprising said role, Toldya! also notes that the Legolas appearance is not merely a cameo.

Armie Hammer In Talks To Join Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar

As his equally lesser-known co-stars Andrew Garfield and Rooney Mara were heading to bigger and better things, it was clear Armie Hammer, in his impressive dual role as the Winklevoss twins, was also going to be seen in his fair share of high-profile projects post-Social Network.

What his follow-up would be none of us particularly knew, with many a whispers of his candidacy for Zack Snyder's Superman reboot. Judging by this development, he might be out of contention as the new Man of Steel. But it's, by no means, a bad thing.

Entertainment Weekly reports he's in talks to co-star in Clint Eastwood's forthcoming J. Edgar Hoover biopic, now titled J. Edgar, with Leonardo DiCaprio. He would play Clyde Tolson, Hoover's right-hand man at the FBI, and, as speculated by many, his lover.

He's certainly come a long way from the days when fanboys made fun of his name because he was set to play Batman in George Miller's Justice League: Mortal.

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon Trailer

Wow, a Michael Bay trailer laced with atmosphere and suspense rather than explosions and action? Shocking stuff.

I was not a fan of Revenge of the Fallen but maybe...just maybe, this final part of the trilogy can redeem things, check out the trailer HERE!
