"Thankskilling 3" Poster

In "ThanksKilling 3," the fowl-mouthed villain Turkie is back and hacking his way to find the last copy of “ThanksKilling 2” which has landed in the hands of a group of disturbingly crude puppets.

The death toll rises as Turkie carves through the likes of Flowis the rapping grandma, Rhonda the bisexual space worm, Yomi the puppet in search of her mind, and their equally ridiculous friends who all travel through fantastical settings such as the FeatherWorld and Turkey Hell.  With the guidance of Uncle Donny (Dan Usaj), the wig-wearing inventor of the PluckMaster 3000, Jefferson (Joe Hartzler), Head of Security at ThanksgivingLand, and a WiseTurkey, the gatekeeper to the FeatherWorld, our collection of raunchy characters hope to fend off the murderous rampage of Turkie, all while trying to help Yomi find her mind.

Directed by Jordan Downey, produced by Ricky Fosheim, and written by Kevin Stewart, Jordan Downey & Mike Will Downey, this hilariously gory sequel to cult hit “ThanksKilling” is the first movie to skip its own sequel. Gobble, Gobble, Motherf***er!

Les Miserables Reveals New 'Jean Valjean' Poster

On the heels of last month's release of the first teaser poster for Les Miserables, which re-created Emile Bayard's iconic image of little Cosette, we now have our second character poster from the film's official website, this time of Hugh Jackman's Jean Valjean:

The tagline, "Freedom Is Mine", is from the first song Valjean sings after being released from prison, having spent 19 years on a chain gang for stealing a loaf of bread to save his starving family:

"Freedom is mine, the earth is still,

I feel the wind, I breathe again,

And the sky clears, the world is waking.

Drink from the pool, how clean the taste.

Never forget the years, the waste.

Nor forgive them what they've done.

They are the guilty, everyone.

The day begins, and now let's see,

What this new world will do for me..."

Then he winds up breaking his parole after learning that the world is none-too-forgiving to a former convict, regardless of the crime, and spends the next 20 years being chased by the ruthless Inspector Javert (Russell Crowe), who I expect will be getting his own character poster soon.

Speaking of character posters, another was recently spotted (and posted on Tumblr) at New York's NBC Experience Store.  That one was of Marius and Cosette (Eddie Redmayne and Amanda Seyfried), with a tagline from their duet, "A Heart Full of Love."

So there's definitely more coming, and hopefully one of the barricade boys soon.  Another trailer is rumored to be on the horizon - possibly next week - as well.

Les Miserables opens in theaters on Christmas Day.

So Much for Distancing Yourself From Raimi - Spider-Man Sequel to Feature Mary Jane Watson & Harry Osborn

Mary Jane Watson and Harry Osborn were two vital components to Spider-Man lore and had big roles in the Sam Raimi iteration. So when The Amazing Spider-Man came along, it was all about starting over anew. Don't bring on direct comparison unless it's unavoidable like Uncle Ben's death. So the new Peter Parker was an asshole, douchebag loner with no friends. Hence no Harry and Gwen Stacey, one of Parker's early loves from the comics and memorable only for her infamous death at the hands of the Green Goblin, is the new love-interest. It helped that they hired Emma Stone, who had great chemistry with Andrew Garfield during and between takes.

Even with those changes, which had to be made, it still drew ire for retreading territory covered before (and better) by Raimi. Per Variety, those criticisms won't end for the untitled sequel. MJ and Pete's best-frenemy are returning.

Shailene Woodley (quite good in The Descendants and whose weekly drama The Secret Life of the American Teenager was just announced to end – timing!) is in talks for Mary Jane. No word on Harry and rumor-mill also pegs Electro as one of the new baddies. That I like - a weird Kingpin/Electro amalgam was the heavy in James Cameron's 1993 "scriptment" for you trivia nerds out there. Then again, implementing Harry and the looming shadow of Norman Osborn in Amazing Spider-Man (who the filmmakers chicken-shittedly implied wasn't harassing Curt Connors in that jail-cell when it clearly was) suggests they'll settle on someone for Green Goblin.

So... are we going to pretend this isn't lazy? Judging by the reaction, that's a bingo.

Hitchcock Trailer Full of "Chubby Hmmm" Moments

Film critic Mark Karmode coined the phrase, "Chubby Hmmm." A moment in a biopic where one of the defining moments of the subject's life is fictionalized as a means to explain said event, moment, phrase, etc. In this case, The Karen Carpenter Story where the late singer reads early reviews and the critic refers to her off-handedly as "Chubby" to a "Hmmm..." reaction.

It's been debated if that actually happened in the 1989 made-for-TV film, but you get the idea. Watching the trailer for Hitchcock, the story of famed-director Alfred Hitchcock and his wife Alma Reville during the making of his defining film the classic Psycho, hard not to spot multiple "Chubby Hmmm" moments.

All the press is about star Anthony Hopkins' eerie-resemble to Hitchcock. They got the look down pat. The voice, on the other hand, sounds like Hopkins doing Hitchcock and less Hitch.

Disney's "Wreck-It Ralph" Retro TV Spot

Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) is tired of being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix (voice of Jack McBrayer), the "good guy" star of their game who always gets to save the day. But after decades of doing the same thing and seeing all the glory go to Felix, Ralph decides he's tired of playing the role of a bad guy. He takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a game-hopping journey across the arcade through every generation of video games to prove he's got what it takes to be a hero.

On his quest, he meets the tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch) from the first-person action game Hero's Duty. But it's the feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) from the candy-coated cart racing game Sugar Rush, whose world is threatened when Ralph accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens the entire arcade. Will Ralph realize his dream and save the day before it's too late?
