INAPPROPRIATE COMEDY is a no-holds barred sketch movie starring Academy Award-winner Adrien Brody as “Flirty Harry,” a tough, no nonsense cop with a soft middle and a flair for fashion; Rob Schneider in a dual role as both a sleazy, horny psychologist and a curmudgeonly porn critic alongside his enthusiastic counterpart Michelle Rodriguez; Lindsay Lohan living out her fantasy of taking an ultimate revenge on the salivating paparazzi who haunt her, and Ari Shaffir as “The Amazing Racist,“ whose hilariously offensive hidden-camera encounters with members of different ethnic and minority groups push everyone’s buttons.

JLA: One Step Closer To DOA

Badass Digest reports, what Ben Affleck, in a read-between-the-lines fashion, said to HitFix a few months ago. The Will Beale drafts for the Justice League movie are toast. Conflicting whispers from their sources indicate where it's headed. Whether it gets made or not, there is only one destination at this juncture. Purgatory.

It was just last week we reported on Warner Brothers' decision to cease work and wait to see how The Man of Steel does first. OK fine. That just means the 2015 release date the studio penciled in is off the table. There will still be those who insist it could still make that date and this setback doesn't mean anything. Don't listen to those people.

In its place more likely than none, you'll see a Superman follow-up from Zack Snyder instead. Probably hear about someone commissioned officially to write it too. I hate sounding like a broken record.

"Love Free Or Die" Debuts On DVD April 9

Director Macky Alston’s (Family Name, Hard Road Home) critically-acclaimed documentary LOVE FREE OR DIE debuts across all digital platforms beginning March 12th and lands on DVD April 9th from Wolfe Video. The uncompromising film challenges the long held belief, supported by most of the world’s religions, that homosexuality is in direct conflict with faith. Gene Robinson, the first openly gay person to be elected bishop in Christendom, takes on the church’s stance and claims a place for all people.

In addition to its U.S. Documentary Special Jury Prize for An Agent of Change at 2012 Sundance Film Festival, LOVE FREE OR DIE also won the Human Rights Award at the 2012 River Run International Film Festival, the Best Documentary Award at the 2012 Philadelphia QFest, the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the 2012 Connecticut Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, a 2012 Wilbur Award for Best Feature Documentary, and the Audience Awards at the 2012 Palm Beach International Film Festival and 2012 NewFest LGBT Film Festival.

Following theatrical runs in New York and Los Angeles, LOVE FREE OR DIE aired as part of PBS’ “Independent Lens” series on November 12, 2012.  It has a runtime of 83 minutes and is not rated. DVD bonus features will include deleted scenes.

SYNOPSIS: LOVE FREE OR DIE is a film about religion, homosexuality and human rights; how tradition and scripture are used by many to reject a faithful minority and amid the growing calls in the US and beyond to adopt inclusion. The film follows Bishop Gene Robinson, the first openly gay person to be elected bishop in the high church traditions of Christendom. Bishop Robinson's elevation in the sleepy New Hampshire diocese in 2003 ignited a worldwide debate in the Anglican Communion, one that has become so heated that there is still a chance of a schism in the 80 million-member denomination.

Taking on the church’s stance against homosexuality, Bishop Robinson has become a lightning rod, standing at the crossroads of religion and sexuality. One year after being muzzled by the Archbishop of Canterbury, he finds himself speaking from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial at Barack Obama’s 2008 Inauguration. Gene Robinson confronts those who use religion as an instrument of oppression, and claims a place in the church and society, not just for LGBT people, but for all people.

Creepy Poster For "The Silence"

The Silence begins 23 years ago on a hot summer day, when a young girl named Pia is brutally murdered in a field of wheat.  Now, on the exact same date in the present, 13-year-old Sinikka is missing, her bicycle abandoned in the same spot.  As Krischan, the retired investigator of the unresolved case, and his younger colleague David struggle to solve the mystery of these parallel crimes, Sinikka’s distraught parents are trapped in an agonizing period of waiting and uncertainty.  Meanwhile, their daughter’s fate rips open old wounds in the heart of Pia’s mother, who is visited by an unexpected guest with an eerie connection to her daughter.  The unrelenting summer heat lies over the quaint family homes like a bell jar and behind closed doors, worlds begin to fall apart.

In his strikingly commanding debut feature The Silence, Swiss-born Baran bo Odar adapts Jan Costin Wagner’s bestselling novel with his own unmistakable signature. Mesmerizing performances by top European actors - headed by Ulrich Thomsen (The Celebration, Brothers), Sebastian Blomberg (The Baader Meinhof Complex), Katrin Sass (Good Bye, Lenin!) and Burghart Klaussner (The White Ribbon, The Edukators) - enrich this intense drama far beyond the crime genre.

They offer new images (below are three; follow the link above to see all five) from the anticipated sequel that changed our dialogue from "Who is Benedict Cumberbatch playing?" to "I wonder what everyone really thinks of J.J. Abrams leaving for Star Wars?"

"Sushi Girl" Trailer, On DVD & Blu-Ray February 19, 2013.

Fish has spent six years in jail. Six years alone. Six years keeping his mouth shut about the robbery, about the other men involved. The night he is released, the four men he protected with silence celebrate his freedom with a congratulatory dinner. The meal is a lavish array of sushi, served off the naked body of a beautiful young woman. The sushi girl seems cationic, trained to ignore everything in the room, even if things become dangerous. Sure enough, the four unwieldy thieves can’t help but open old wounds in an attempt to find their missing loot.
