Bernie Focker Returns

"TOLDJA" confirms a report originating from Vulture a few weeks back.

Dustin Hoffman has come aboard Little Fockers. He’ll be tacked on to a weeks' worth of additional photography along with Ben Stiller and the kid actors shooting new material. Word is the threequel shits. I guess the studio thought Meet the Fockers was comic-brilliance by comparison.

Universal even contemplated nuking director Paul Weitz altogether. But it didn't come to that and the producers/studio gave in to Hoffman's pay demands.

Will his late-minute involvement help the bottom-line? I haven't seen the trailer in front of an audience. So I can't gage how the general movie-going public will take to seeing this a thrice-times over. My guess is they eat it up.

No, I don't have much faith in mankind...

Chris Egan, Anthony Mackie & Kevin Zegers Up For Mission: Impossible 4

A couple of young lads yet to break out (although they've done plenty of work) are up for roles in Mission: Impossible 4. Guess that means we can finally put to bed those "doom and gloom" reports of it falling apart?

The Wrap reports Aussie actor Chris Egan (Resident Evil: Extinction), Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker) and Kevin Zegers (the '04 Dawn of the Dead remake) have auditioned and will soon screen-test. No word if all three are vying for the same role, and whether the role in question is a baddie or a new member of IMF.

Whoever is cast will join Cruise (obviously), Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg under the direction of Oscar-winning Pixard Brad Bird.

Marion Cotillard Joining Batman 3?

According to the some what unscrupulous site Perez Hilton, Marion Cotillard has been offered a role in Batman 3. Apparently his sources are unsure of whether the role was Catwoman or Talia Al Ghul, regardless she reportedly turned down the offer as of now as she’s unsure whether the planned shooting start date of the next Batman movie will clash with other projects she’s either interested in or already committed to, despite the fact that she’s reportedly keen to work with Nolan again.

I wouldn't jump up and down for joy just yet, but I think there could be "some" validity to the rumour. On the other hand though, it's a very obvious rumour that just about any internet troll could have conjured up themselves. For now I would take this with a grain of salt, but still consider that it could be true.

The third and final installment in the Nolan Batman franchise starts filming next spring for July 2012 release date.

127 Hours Trailer

Ew, I remember hearing about this story on the news.  And...now it's a movie.  Danny Boyle follows up his Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire with 127 Hours, the story of Aron Ralston (played here by James Franco), the mountain climber whose arm became pinned by a boulder after a fall, forcing him cut off said pinned arm with a dull knife, climb a down 65-foot mountain wall, and walk eight miles before finally being rescued.

127 Hours will open in theaters on November 5, 2010.

Two TV Spots for Devil

Universal Pictures has released two new Tv spots for the upcoming thriller Devil from Producer M. Night Shyamalan, yay?

Does anyone care what M. Night does anymore, I seriously doubt it. After his last outing with the craptacular Last Airbender and the video of him shitting on reporters for questioning his current film making ability while promoting the film, I really would have thought he burned all his bridges, guess not. Even though he's only producing this, if it flops I have a feeling we won't see anything from him for quite some time if ever again.

The plot which I know you don't really care about has to do with a group of people being trapped in an elevator together with the twist being one of them is...the devil! It might actually sound somewhat interesting had Shyamalan's box office poison name not been attached to it.

New Trailer AMC's The Walking Dead

AMC has revealed the trailer for its new series, "The Walking Dead," which premieres with a 90-minute episode on Halloween night, Sunday, October 31, at 10/9c. "The Walking Dead is a six-episode series based on the comic book written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics.

"The Walking Dead" tells the story of life following a zombie apocalypse. It follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), traveling in search of a safe and secure home. Jon Bernthal plays Shane, who worked with Rick in the police department before the zombie disaster. Other cast includes Laurie Holden, who plays Andrea, one of two sisters who join the survivors of the zombie plague, Steven Yeun as Glenn, an expert scavenger and Sarah Wayne Callies, who plays Rick's wife Lori.

It almost seems like AMC is turning into a new HBO or Showtime with the quality shows they're bringing to the network. Breaking Bad is amazing, form what I hear Mad Men is just as good if not better, and this looks all kinds of awesome as well.

International trailer "Red"

E 1 Entertainment has just released the international trailer for "Red". Opening in theaters on October 15, the Robert Schwentke-directed action comedy stars Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Karl Urban, Mary-Louise Parker, Brian Cox, Julian McMahon and Richard Dreyfuss.

I'm not personally familiar with the comic, so I have no idea how accurately this was adapted. But I doubt the majority of general audiences will know the book either. That being said, this looks all kinds of awesome!

The plot from what I can tell revolves around a group of retired CIA "hitmen" that are having a hard time settling into retired life. Bruce Willis being his usual awesome self, Academy Award winner Helen Mirren mowing people down with machine guns, John Malkovich acting bat-shit crazy, and Morgan Freeman...not sure what he's doing, but who cares its Morgan Freeman! An ensemble cast in a ridiculous plot with a shit ton of action, what more could you ask for?

Jessica Alba Joins Spy Kids 4

A couple of months back (when we were mourning how the May movie line-up sucked), Movie Hole scored some major scoopage on Spy Kids 4: Armageddon, the reboot/sequel for the preteen spy franchise.

Some of the details included character break-downs such as the mother of our new batch of heroes:

"Jessica Wilson is Rebecca and Cecil's new step-mother (and, of course, she's a former agent). Rebecca's not exactly supportive of her father's new partner, and "utilizes her ingenious skills as a prankster to thwart her stepmother every step of the way". Cecil's a little less hard on Jessica, frequently asking his sis to cut her a break. Ultimately, Jessica and Rebecca have to put their differences aside when they're both called up for active-duty."

In a follow-up to that initial report, Heat Vision says Jessica Alba has secured the role. This will be her third collaboration with writer/producer/director/caterer Robert Rodriguez following Sin City and Machete.

Casting is far from over as Rodriguez searches for his new Spy Kids, their dear-old dad described as "a slightly nerdy investigative reporter" and the fourquel’s key baddie the Time Keeper.

New Unstoppable Poster

A couple of weeks ago the fairly impressive trailer for Tony Scott's "Unstoppable," starring long time collaborator Denzel Washington and new Captain Kirk Chris Pine hit the interwebs, now /Film have a look at the first poster for the movie.

I don't think this could be anymore generic if it tried, I mean the film is about two men trying to stop a speeding train that is unmanned and headed towards a small town, yet all the poster shows is the two heads of the leads doing their best movie stares while the title is surrounded by what looks like the lit fuse from Mission Impossible, very poor.
